It's a tragic situation....but these Hamas animals launch rockets from school rooftops, give Palestinian teenagers guns to take potshots at Israeli Soldiers, encourage rioting in kids as young as 5 and 6. The. Tell them all that they go to heaven if they die

While the Israelis are undoubtedly a pack of cvnts, those numbers you quote are flat out propaganda

(In Iraq, Al Quada would force a 4 year old to run out in front of an American Humvee. The Americans jam on the brakes, and then while they're sitting there, get an RPG fired at them. The Americans then just ran right anyone who walked in front of their vehicles. I'm sure these were classified as "murders" too!  I heard this first hand from someone who did 2 tours there)

Sunday Games for 2014

I will be in ol' Blighty the weekend of Sunday September 28th and would love to take in a game in Metro London.  I went online to the EPL website and it is showing all games occurring on SATURDAYS for pretty much the entire season.

Do they change some of the games to Sundays when the TV schedule is announced or are they playing all games on Saturdays this year

Any help would be greatly appreciated

(I am attending a family function on Saturday, so that day is a no go)

Watched a game of Lacrosse once and thought it looked like a decent sport.

It's a great game and is really impacting the number of kids signing up for baseball in many towns.

LAX is played off season by a lot of Ice Hockey players, so there are some seriously tough kids playing the sport.

With all the hullabaloo about concussions in football, I can see Lacrosse going from strength

You all seem to have conveniently ignored my inclusion of the word EXTREME. (Think 7/7 bombers, Boston Bombers, or those horrible preachers they have in parts of the UK)

I myself an am immigrant, but I pay my taxes, obey the law and am assimilated into the culture of the country I live in.

Diversity is a positive thing, but when you allow people in who then seek to do you harm or who are all of sudden "offended" by the culture of their host nation, then I say don't let the door hit you on the way out

The results of the Euro elections last week prove I am not alone in these views

I don't know what the big deal is ....... Robinson only said what the majority of people are thinking themselves...

EXTREME Islam (eg, Sharia, Jihad) is incompatible with the cultural norms of a western democracy and should be stomped out with force

If the Muslims don't like it, fvck off back to whatever 3rd world hell hole you came from

What I can't understand is why they persist in this nonsense. As a stand alone fixture the hurling game would attract about 100 paying spectators, yet they risk cutting up the pitch for the main event that 20-30k will pay to attend

They should rent it out for stag dos and the like....wouldn't it be some laugh for a bunch of maniacs to roll up to a pub in that wagon

I looked at the Fergal Doherty shoulder on O Shea, see above.  It's always difficult to be certain without slowing down to the second by second play to see what really happened.  I think it was shoulder to shoulder.  What I can see is that O Shea was definitely not hit on the face, yet he goes down holding his face.  It's no wonder Mayo have won nothing if this is this is the caliber of their men.  I have u12 girls playing and they are braver.

Hold ones face for protection when falling is instinctive when hit or in a fall. Nothing wrong with Mayomen.

I figured out how to slow motion the clip-definite clash of heads  (or rather Derry head to O Se's face) prior to him hitting the deck

Very inconsistent so far but there is an improvement in some games...............................no doubt any fault found is down to Dublin Gaa of course  ::)

Lets bring in a "team foul" penalty. if a team, lets say the Dubs for example (LOL)  commit more than 20 fouls, the opposition get a 14 yard free regardless of where the foul occurred.  Alternatively if uour team commits double the number of fouls as your opponent, your opponent would have their score topped up by 2 points at the end of the game

That's a good summary....

He was well intentioned, but naive on how Washington and the world works.

I think to be a good president you need to really embrace the art of compromise.

Ronald Regan did and Bill Clinton did and both had successful tenures

The president is essentially powerless without having congress and the Senate on his side.  (I threw essentially in there because he/she can issue executive orders, but if he/she does so on big issues, he/she is teeing their party up to get hammered at the next election)

The pendulum swings from left to right before it settles back in the middle.  The country went way too far right under George Bush, which resulted in an extreme left candidate (Obama) getting elected in 2008. Now that everyone has figured out what he's all about, the pendulum is rapidly going back to the right...if recent elections are anything to go by

How he is viewed depends on who you ask?

The general view, at least among right wingers, is that hes the second worst president ever-Obama taking the top spot.  Some presidents get too much credit, while others take the blame for events that were seeded during their predecessors time in office.

For example, Bill Clinton took over a relatively healthy economy, and had to compromise with the republicans in order to get a lot of his legislation through.  Newt Gingrich deserves as much credit as Clinton, as fiscally they dragged him kicking and screaming to the center.

Obama, who I do not support, inherited a cluster debacle of epic proportions.  Instead of focussing on solving the problems at hand, he has expended all of his political capital on trying to implement social change-you know all that hope and change stuff.

Thats just a little context to provide a prism through which to view Jimmy Catres accomplishments.  I think the following article sums up his presidency pretty well:

Wheres the best bars in castlebar to catch a few drinks before the game lads?

Mick Byrnes, John McHales (Jonnys is how its known), Coady's, Rockies, McCarthys would all be grand spots.

Prendergasts ("Rays") on Castle Street, The Harp and Paddy Morans on Rush St.

Exactly like the semi final in 2012-open goal chances to kill off the game and Mayo didn't take them.

I heard (via Midwest) that the "goal scoring specialist" missed an absolute sitter too.  It was so bad the commentators were actually laughing......

I thought a completion started under the old rules would still be refereed under those rules until finished

I would have assumed the same. Unless they are treating the 'All-Ireland series' (semis and final) as a separate competition.
If that's the case, it would have started in the new year when the new rules were in place.

I seem to remember hearing about some fouls in the respective semi finals where black cards were not brandished, yellows were given instead. at the time someone (wrongly) suggested that the black card was not in force for this competition

Overall I think the rule is well intentioned, but like all rules it needs to be interpreted clearly and implemented consistently.

I know the players and coach are supposed to know the rules, but would it not help all involved for the referee to attend each teams final session prior to a final, to give the teams a clear indication as to what he will be looking for.

I seem to recall that the great Kerry team of the 80s always invited the referee to attend a session in the lead up to the final.....but I could be completely wrong on that
