So the Ballinderry boys are available for selection

http://www.setanta.com/uk/Articles/other-sports/2009/06/16/GAA-No-Ballinderry-boycott/gnid-57210/

However, McCloy says such speculation is well wide of the mark, the Derry chief quoted by The Evening Herald as saying: "That's the first I've heard. I spoke to the Ballinderry chairman on Friday and there was nothing mentioned about it then or since.

"The manager is the man who decides who he puts on his panel. James Conway hadn't played all year because he had been injured. Somebody can't just break somebody else's jaw and then come into the dressing room and say 'right boys, tea and buns for everyone'."

Quote of the championship to date right there from Seamus McCloy.

Unbelievable!! Should your county chairman really be making comments like this before due disciplinary procedures have taken place. I think the man is a complete muppet who would be better off keeping his mouth shut. It makes for good reading for everyone else to laugh at i suppose!!

If Davey doesn't make it who will play left half back?

Anyone got any other team news like how's Justin and do you think he's wasted at Full back or is he our long term solution to this position?

Philip Jordan! He has been left half back for years!! ;)

ref was very poor.although i believe moy may have had run in with him in the past which didnt help their case yesturday.
mickey murphy broke his ankle 2 years ago against carrickmore he got operated on by a surgeon that simply made a balls up of the ankle.hes had it operated on twice now and still cant twist or turn on the ankle cause of the jags of pain he gets.
pitty really hes massive loss to galbally if i was him id sue the surgeon who knitted the wrong bones!!!!!!!

Fella at work from Galbally was telling me there that there was a 'handling' in the crowd yday where a father of two of the Moy players   ;) was scuffling with a fella and inadvertently punched a young girl in the nose!

For anyone not from Galbally a handling means a difficult situation

LOL!! What's new !!

What's Diver supposed to do in this instance he's going full pelt and a man of at LEAST 17 stone and 3 feet wide is standing in front of him. Of course he's going to jump. Quirke should have gotten out of the way regardless of what size he is. Regardless of this he is a victim of the new rules and I for one don't think anyone should be sent to the line for a clumsy tackle like that.

As for Bradley? It was a mistimed foot in, yellow card all day long every day of the week and again it's not a sending off offence. Do 2 of either of those tackles under normal regulations and yes you should be given the line for 2 bookings but I think both lads were unfortunate.

God help our games if these new rules do come in they are a joke and will change everything for the worst. I have said it all along when you can send players straight off for making an honest attempt at playing the ball you will begin to lose players altogether. If the original rules were just applied properly everything would be fine!

My viewing of these two incidents were that Diver played a pass then deliberately jumped into Quirke and went down feigning injury in an attempt to get Quirke a yellow card!! As soon as the card was produced he was on his feet again with nothing wrong with him.
I think it was a very harsh yellow for the Kerryman.
In Bradleys instance i thought the referee got the call right. Bradley missed the ball and then swung his leg at it more out of frustration than anything else. There did not seem to be any malice or intent in the challenge but he probably was deserving of the yellow card!!

Young Hagan was injured for the final. He is a good lad but he does need to be given his own ball. Jarleth is another good cub as well.

I  also heard an interesting report coming out of Carmen. Clarke only wants seniors at training (seniors and reserves train together up there) and told 12 or so lads that he did not want them at training. One of the lads is a son of a very high up committee member and it did not go down well. Is a repeat of a Chris Brown fiasco on the cards Roddy?? Does the commitee run the football team as well?!

what happened with the Chris Brown fiasco?

Did they not get rid of him after a number of weeks because they said he was useless!!!

Cork Seniors going to Portugal on Monday for 6 days training. The CIT guys will not be able to go now. They are going to bring 30 players so there will be 4 others brought instead. Conor Counihan had to wait til matches were over today to make a final panel.

you are certainly in the know mairead!!

How good is Gareth Haughey now?  I remember seeing his at full back for CBS a few years ago but haven't seen him since.
I haven't seen Haughey play for a year or two, but did he do nets a few years back for Drumragh?

Aidan Girvan from the Rock looks like a class act anytime I have seen him play.

I dont think Haughey was on!! The other corner back was McDermott going by the paper!!
