Anyway for what it's worth from a Tyrone Gael that Galway team was my favourite team ever in any code (aprt from my own county of course). Fantastic... Keady, McInerney, Finnerty, Naughton, Cooney, Sylvie, Lynskey... loved them

As an Antrim man I'd like to AVOID
Derry, Donegal, Armagh, Mayo, Kildare, (Dubs, Meath), but fancy we could give it a lash against the rest.

Them Mayo followers in Meath maybe so Hardy , but part of me wants to lose the next day... and isn't it any wonder.

That one wasn't like John Gough. when they did the Laochra Gael of Tony Keady the programme clearly showed were Denton penalised Galway and let Tipp off with all sorts. I still believe the hierarchy told him to do that because of Galway's anger at the Keady affair. It diminshed Tipp's title that year and it was good they came again in 1991 to show they were worthy All Ireland champions.

You should have left the word murder in the title
I could not agree more, this was nothing but State Sanctioned Murder and it looks to me that they will get away with it, absolutely disgusting and the US and UN should be absolutely ashamed of themselves in the way they have handled this situation.
Obama is a disaster at this stage and I think McCain would have been much better equipped to deal with this situation.

Anyone catch the Laochra Gael programme last night on the Tipperary/Galway rivalry in the late eighties - early nineties?
20 years on and you feel the bitterness is still there. Maybe I am wrong but I don't think any rivalry in the GAA has come close to the hatred those two teams felt for each other, condensed into those 4 - 5 years. It was hard to feel sorry for Galway in 89 - the focus that should have been there (from an experienced team that they were) just was not there.
Nonsense-they were absolutely robbed in that semi-final. It was one of the most disgraceful ever refereeing displays in Croke Park.

i wouldnt mind seeing Frank Rijkaard to be honest. did well at barca, and plays good football.
think hes at Galatasaray at the minute going into the second year of a 2 year contract.
Hidink would be number one choice, but just cant see that happening.

It might be an interesting development if every country that is opposed to this action formally removed Israeli embassies from their jurisdictions immediately.
It would be more than interesting, it would be a miracle.
We still have diplomatic relations with a State that withholds information regarding decades of abuse of our own citizens. We won't be making a stand.
Even Britain and Australia expelled diplomats in retaliation for the passports debacle. We did nothing.
