Should be noted that your guy McPhelimy has now said that he doesn't believe that it was loyalists did this attack.

Must be a lot of f**kwits floating about with nothing better to do with their time than destroy buses...........

A few years ago in work we had a young guy from East Belfast who I don't think had crossed the Lagan in his puff.  It was Ash Wednesday and one of the women in work had ash on her head.

This boy, thinking he was being polite and helpful, told her that she had dirt on her head.  All hell broke loose.  Thats discrimination!!!! she squeeled.  Thankfully he beat me to it and I had said nothing :D

I'd say the same girl had a hotline to Connolly House.

I remember a (Prod) mate of mine at College pulled a good one one Ash Wednesday. He went into the student bar at lunchtime, where he sat down and chatted with several groups of people. Mid-conversation, he'd suddenly say to one of the Prods in the group: "You've got something on your forehead" and go to dab it off for them with his finger. What they didn't know was that he'd just dipped his finger in his cigarette ash, and was actually dabbing it on!

Some of his "victims" went around all day with it on before they realised why everyone was grinning at them all the time.  :D

aye deadly altogether...

""Long after the final whistle in Gran Canaria had sounded the death knell of Northern Ireland's Euro 2008 hopes, 4,000 green and white fans were still doing the "bouncey" and singing "We're not Brazil, we're Northern Ireland.""

Cringe factor is off the scale

Ole, ole, ole, ole...........

Just make sure you know who will fix it if your installation goes wrong. I got Sky+ in Sept and had hassle with who I should contact as the initial installation was dodgy. After a few phonecalls to both parties (Sky and the supplier of the box)I had to get angry with the supplier who then came out and fixed it.

I think it's very hard to rationalise and explain how Healy keeps doing the business for Norn Iron. He seems confident enough to try anything playing in the green shirt which is one thing though, and amazingly it seems to always come off for him which is down to great skill.

He deserves great credit and obviously loves playing for his country.

13 goals in one campaign, playing for a team that doesn't create loads of chances is just fantastic.

Just finished Salem's Lot by Stephen King. It's the first book I've read by him, inspired I think by the recent 'horror scenes' thread that was floating about.

It's good, I enjoyed the build up perhaps more than the ending, but he's very easy to read and I'd certainly read another novel of his fairly soon. Open to suggestions too if other posters have recommendations.

Didn't see the Dunne-Martinez fight but McCullough has such a good chin he'll likely survive the distance - he cant punch though hence is likely to be used as bit of a punch bag for 10-12 rounds.

Someone mentioned Mosley maybe causing Cotto a few problems. I fancy Mosley to win easily enough, possibly by stoppage. I think he is the bigger puncher and has great chin (don't think he has ever been stopped, despite nearly being down and out in first loss to Forrest) and is still one of the faster fighters in the sport. Cotto on the other hand is reasonably fast, has great power and like Hatton has savage body attack and great stamina. He has frequently been hurt however by much lighter punchers than Mosley. I imagine is a potential fight of the year candidate as don't see Mosley being intimidated by Cotto's strength, hence don't think he will need to box him to win. Mosley TKO round 9. Bloody shame it's on Setanta!

I agree with your McCullough prediction.

I haven't seen too much of Mosley or Cotto, but have read a lot about their fights. It's a hard one to choose but I think I would favour Mosley too - either way, its shaping up to be a good fight. On the boxing forums the opinions are split on it. My Da has Setanta so if he records it for me I'll get a chance to watch it.

anyone going to the duddy fight in the kings hall? tickets are £40, dunno whether to go or not. think it could be a good fight and definitely think eastman could give him his toughest fight yet. have seen him a couple of times on tv and he looks a very durable fighter. is duddy all hes cracked up to be?

I haven't seen him fight yet, but my Dad has and says he is too easy to hit and cuts up too much. A likeable bloke, but not top quality.

I was surprised he is fighting Eastman - Eastman is lazy and is on the decline now but he is experienced and can really dig when he decides to throw a few punches. If Eastman prepares and applies himself well, I wouldn't be surprised if he beats Duddy.

McCullough is meant to be fighting on the 1st Dec as well - I don't know why they are not on the same bill and give local fight fans some good value. Brian Magee is fighting too so it would then be a decent bill, Duddy topping, followed by McCullough, then Magee. I wouldn't be surprised if the McCullough bill is cancelled mind you, he can't do the Kings Hall himself.

Calzaghe did very well to win on Saturday, after 6 rounds it was really touch and go, and I thought Kessler looked the stronger. However, like a great champion, he went into the trenches to take a bit out of Kessler and then jabbed well for the remaining rounds to clinch a deserved victory.

A good fight, Kessler was a very dignified loser as well, respect all round.

I really loved The Bash Street Kids - the sight of Plug made me laugh.

Nah, no such thing as angels.

And being cyncial old me, I'm slightly alarmed that she went along with this man despite the circumstances - taking off with a stranger is recipe for disaster, the family might have had another tragedy to deal with.

However, fair play to this obviously amazingly decent and generous man.

Sounds very authoritive there ma! Who let you in on the big secret?

Good call the Superman 3 bit where the lady is sucked into the computer and turned into a robot - 'twas a bit scary to me too.

Saying that, I used to look away when David Banner's eyes turned green in the Incredible Hulk TV series...... :-[

It's a genuine monthly payslip - he was on £30k a week then, ending up with about £82k a month after tax etc.

Worse ways to earn a living.
