Had a few days in the Algarve last week, couldn't believe how cheap it was.

Pull the other one ffs

Financially it isn't, It will save United millions in bonuses to the players and I doubt we'd get out of the group with LVG in charge anyway It would cost them probably about £20m which isn't much to a club with a turnover of over £500m. The big issue is if they miss out next season as the adidas deal will be hit.

What a c**k up yesterday although still hard to believe the device wasn't found until 20 minutes before kick of. Its going to cost United £3m although I'd imagine they'd be covered by some sort of insurance policy and no doubt they'll try and sue the security company.

I was on a flight so missed the West Ham game, I've seen West Ham's 2nd and 3rd goals and both were Blind's fault, he had improved in the last few months but given our fullbacks aren't tall we have to have 2 tall centre half's for defending set pieces.

Top 4 nearly happened only because how poor City have been, when the pressure was on us at home to Leicester and away to West Ham we didn't turn up. Missing out on CL isn't a huge loss for United and Spurs showed you can make a title challenge when playing on Thursday nights. Hopefully by Wednesday next week he'll be gone, just can't any logical reason for him to keep his job.

Keane saying LVG should be given another year saying the main issue for the team was lack of any leaders in the side.  Interesting viewpoint but regardless as to whether you share it,  there can be little doubt that if Utd had a midfield general this season who put it up to the team and, in particular, put it up to Rooney whor is undoubtedly too comfortable as top-dog, United could have turned a few of the 0-0 draws into wins.

He is right about this United side not having enough leaders in it but LVG has had plenty of time to put that right and he didn't. Leaders develop too, Vidic & Evra became leaders while they were at United. From late October until the end of December we scored 7 goals in 10 league game and won 11 points. In 6 or 7 of those game we barely created a chance, LVG's tactics were the reason for this and not lack of leaders. You need to get players into the box to score goals and far too often this season we've had one player in the box up against 4 defenders. Results wise we've gone backwards and the football has been even worse this season which is a terrible combination so he has to go.

Will he though?    Win the FA cup and scrape top 4 (unlikely) might be enough for him to get his final year.

There's always a small chance he might be kept on if we finished 4th but I just can't see that happening, can't see us winning all our remaining games.

The league will be very open again next season and is there to be won as long as we have a new manager.

LVG had turned into a very deluded man, I was fan up until November when the team like him lost the plot for a month. He was very open and honest about team performances up until then.

He's had a great career and perhaps he's still got something to give elsewhere but after a promising first 15 months in the United job he's no longer the right man for United. What surprises me most is how long it takes him to change tactically when its not working. Even in the last 2 games thats been very evident, he waited far too long to make changes in the games against Everton & Leicester.

Simeone's team are far more negative than Mourinho's but how can you blame him given the players he has, he plays a way that gets the best out of his players and gives his team the best chance of success. He's done some job at Atletico, his team in 2014 was taken apart and to get back to the final with a vastly different squad is a phenomenal achievement.

As for Pep not getting that Bayern team to a CL final is a failure given the circumstances, he inherited the European Champions and has added Alonso, Vidal, Goetze, Thaigo, Lewandowski, Costa, Coman to a team that already had 6 or 7 world class players. Bayern were hammered in 2014 & 2015 and they might have been a bit unlucky last night but everytime Atletico put 2 passes together they were nearly in on goal. City will be his biggest test as he's not inheriting anything like the squad he's had at Barca & Bayern.
Agree re Pep. He didn't do much for Bayern considering how easy it is to win the Bundesliga
He was unlucky last night. Muller scores the peno and they qualify comfortably in my book.
Whatever about not improving Bayern, Germany give him a lot of credit for the improvement in the national team.
Still that will be no consolation to him

I'm not sure, Atletico were always going to score a goal so Bayern always needed 3 as far as I'm concerned and Bayern had a bit of luck with the deflected free kick. He joined Bayern in 2013 and Germany won the world cup a year later, I really don't know how much of an affect Pep had on their national team.

Congrats to Mayo, better team on the day won although there wasn't much between them apart from a poor goalkeeping performance. Mayo could easily have been beaten by Roscommon, Dublin and Cork but showed great character to win all 3 games.

I think the lamella one is 100% deliberate as well. I would have no doubt he stood on him on purpose.
Agree regarding Terry & Costa, its crept into most teams in the PL now, but Chelsea and particularly Terry have been at it for years.

Thought Mason was very close to the edge on a few occasions as well... Walker too!

Walker was back to his aul tricks last night after a season where he's behaved very well.

What is everyone giving off about? They were playing Chelsea a team who downed tools on their manager in the mostly revolting way.

A team with Ivanovic, Terry and Costa. A Chelsea team who made it public they wanted to stop Spurs competing for the title.

And people wonder why they young players from spurs felt a bit aggrieved especially with the way the match went last night.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the match a neutral and seeing the tackles flying in.

I agree, some of those Chelsea players are a joke. Compare last night with earlier on in the season, Chelsea fans can't be happy with that. Hazard has been appalling all season then plays like that when he came on last night. Its a tough job for Conte as they've performed poorly under 2 good managers, results and performances haven't been much better under Hiddink.

Spurs at 8/1 to win the league next season are a good bet, if they can bring in a couple of good players they'll be my tip for the title.

It was great to watch though, would have liked to see another 10 minutes of that. Its been a long time since there was a match like that.

What an achievement, delighted for Ranieri as he's one of the nice guys in football and its his first championship.

To keep all your best players fit for the whole season is remarkable, this is where they had a bit of luck and getting knocked out of the cups early enough too left them with just the league to concentrate on.

Brilliant for Leicester and ranieri but it just shows how much money has been totally wasted by other clubs and managers when you see a team of basically rejects and journeymen winning the so called best league in the world. Most clubs in England have a load of overrated and vastly overpaid foreign players who are consistently under performing.

I agree although its a one off that will probably not happen again in my lifetime. I just think everything has gone right for Leicester, there back 4 is full of journeymen but the likes of Kante, Vardy & Mahrez can play for anyone and Drinkwater has turned into a superb player. To see a player who's not that young turn from an average premiership player into a brilliant player doesn't happen very often but it happened to 2 of their players which is unreal. I don't see them challenging next season for the league but I think they'll have a decent run in Europe as long as they keep their top players.

Dier was a blatant red and it looked like the linesman was looking right at Dembele when he tried gouging Costa. As for Lamella its a difficult one and I think he'll get away with it.

As for Chelsea Costa could easily have been sent off the way they hounded the ref near the end was a disgrace. John Terry has been at it for years closely followed by Rooney & Kompany, the 3 of them never leave the ref alone.

I very much doubt whether Chelsea would have put that same level of performance in against Leicester last night, its hard to compare the effort Chelsea & West Brom put in compared to the way Swansea played at Leicester. Spurs will look back to January and not buying a striker as a huge mistake, their far to reliant on Kane.

If the ref had booked players in the first 15 minutes then I doubt it would have escalated like it did. Another poor performance from a ref just like Oliver did the day before.

As for Chelsea if they had put as much effort into their performances all season as they did in the 2nd half they'd be a lot nearer to the top, some of their players have been a disgrace this season and there has hardly been a huge improvement since Mourinho left.
