There was a bit of a schmozzle in the Cross - Newtownbutler game. A Cross player (not sure who, maybe Jamie Clarke) was clobbered when running through towards the end of the second half and all-in handbags ensued. I think the game was called off at that stage as the Fermanagh men weren't likely to make the score required in any case.

QuoteWhen do you think these were arranged, the sunday evening at 5 oclock?

Mayo often know whether the nature of the celebrations by 4 O'Clock.

QuoteLeaving aside your manners, from what I can make out Londonderry was built in a different location from Doire Colmcille and was built from new and named Londonderry.  Doire Colmcille had also been previously destroyed. Doire Colmcille or Colmcille County is neither the current city nor the county.

Yeah, Right. If Londonderry didn't have anything to do with an existing Derry why didn't they just call it New London then?

QuoteThose Langers would do anything for a laugh

Probably their biggest laugh will be beating Kerry.

What do you mean by decent view? It is not as easy to identify the players, but you can see the entire pattern of the game.

Mayo people have to understand that Armagh is not in the minor final every year.

QuoteHopefully there'll be a lot of humble pie eaten in the orchard next week  ;)

Perhaps, but we prefer apple tart.

A Dublin Kerry game would a hard sell in Croke Pk after the last game which was one of most depressing games I have ever seen.  Dublin-Tyrone had the whole 125 show and fair play to Dublin they made it a good game, but there in these opening gigs, Armagh 2003, Tyrone 2009 etc Dublin have been beaten. Not that appealing for fans. If it was Armagh/Tyrone/Meath/Kildare you might have a few travelling fans but hardly any Kerry people will attend.

QuoteAnd I hear they have a few tickets being raffled off for Sunday as well!

Can Armagh people also buy tickets?

I welcome the UKIP party, it makes it more likely that the referendum will pass.

QuoteThis should not have been an impossible ask, I would have thought.

Especially since Croke Pk will get several hundred returns from Britain, Carlow etc.

QuoteAny word on a manager yet.

Managers are retro in Armagh. Going forward, we are pursuing the new post managerial paradigm.

No doubt Retro is more appealing in Down than the current kit, and not just because of its design.
