30,000 at cork v kerry, 7,000 at kildare v wexford, 25,000 at limerick v waterford

The Cork Kerry game is an excellent attendance - given that it doesn't matter a flying feck when August comes...

Jesus, just back, where do ya start???

I thought we were by far the better team in the first half and it was awful to go in at half time down a point.  However credit to the boys in the first half who upped their game.  Overall though, extremely disappointing!!  We went out with a whimper to a poor Dublin side who had 3 players.

I thought our backs done reasonably well, came out time after time in the first half with the ball and showed plenty of spunk.  Their number 14 who came out the field was tricky enough and their 13 (O'Callaghan?) was their only real danger man.  Graffin came into the game as it went on though and at least battled well.  I thought Richmond was good, used the ball well and was very reliable.  Sambo and Woody probably left it too long to throw him into full forward though as it was evident from the frist 5 mins in the 2nd half that Dublin with the wind were eating everyting up.  I thought that for the amount of ball that came in in the second half, we can't look to be blaming our backs at all.  McKeegan faired well enough in spurts - was one of the only players wanting to show a bit of spunk and guts to bring the game to them.

McManus tried hard, as did Karl Stewart but it just wasn't happening for the two of the them  AS for the rest of our forwards, they just weren't up to it.  Delargy was really poor i thought although he did try, Micko scored one nice free but was anonymous and as for CJ??  No guts, pretended to want the ball at best in the second half.  Threw about like a wet lettuce and just isn't a ball winner.  Brendy HErron should have started, another player who came on and tried hard (Scored a good point from play in the opening few mins of the second half but the boys just didn't rally).  Joey Scullion also came on and scored a beauty - should have been on well ahead of primadonna boy McGourty.

Just really disappointed after what looked like a very promising first half.  Would that be an honest assessment?

On another point, it was really disappointing to see Antrim 'fans' shouting abuse at the management.  Things like "haha, the two wise men aren't so wise now" - you let your club and county down in front of Croke park today - if you are reading this, you know who you are.  You should be more worried about getting your 'Belfast, Green and Black' club out of division 3 hurling instead of wanting to take cheap shots at the two lads from the stands because you feel aggrieved about a certain manager.

Bit of 'Jingoism' there methinks .. also, that row goes back to Sean McGuinness getting the boot in the 1980s. Still, disgrace to turn out to support your county and shout that! Bitter crowd - they even turned up at Casement to cheer Down a few years back!

For Feck SAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What was that? No Balls, No Fight and at the end of the day a complete capitulation! Methinks that Sambo and Woody have some questions to answer as that was atrocious - the Sunday Game tonight will be pitiful and - quite rightly - the pundits will show no mercy to Antrim. CJ - he should stick to footballs as out there today he was a wee boy lost! :(

Casement for me.

I'll buy a pint for each gaaboarder who makes themselves known to me in the Fruithill Lawn Tennis & Bowling Club before the match.

The code word is "Ulsterbus".

Perhaps you'd take Joe to court? ;)

I think that the bottom line is that people are beginning to catch on to the who farcical situation. What's the point of paying good money to see your team in a 'knock-out' competition where the sudden death aspect of the game has been taken from it? There is no REAL 'do or die' aspect to the provincial championship as, WITH THE BACK DOOR, I can tell you that every Armagh player would gladly swap last year's Ulster medal for the All-Ireland one..  :(

Okay folks, here goes. As a Saffron fan will there be tickets easily available? Would it be worth a weekend in Dublin? Or, is it just a case of going in hope as the Dubs are a class ahead? But hey! what's new - we always have to live in hope. ;)

Same lad will be snapped up by some other team (Distillery, Reds?) and some businessman will foot £600 a week for him.... He will still pose a threat for a couple of seasons but the Blues really have to think ahead and Spike just could not be part of that plan ...

You're right, but my point was that regardless of price, if people can't buy the tickets with relative ease, it's not exactly going to help things either. Was Sunday's match ever going to attract 18,000, even if it had been a beautiful day?

Let's be realistic .. feck all at stake! all get a second chance ... If someone asks me a week before the all Ireland if I have a ticket, perhaps that will put the 1st round game in Brewster in context!!

You do of course know the track record of this p***k. In 1988 he danced for peace - resplendent in priest's robes and a flag of David - all over Ireland... He danced down the Shankill Rd in Belfast and I recall that he was nearly Lynched on the news... also if you recall Father Ted - the one with teh dancing priest that had a heart attack after ted borrowed his car for the raffle - that was based on that 'sick c**t' Horan - let's just say I wouldn't let that fecker babysit the kids!!!!!!!!

I was talking to a local sdlp man the other day who was pushing the line that Alban could sneak 3rd place with a split unionist vote. At first I told him he was talking out his ass but he kept arguing so I looked up the figure tonight from the 2004 election. After the first count the UUP were only about 4000 votes ahead of the SDLP but then picked up good transfers from Allister but not enough to push him over the finish line. At this point the Alliance/farmer candidate Gilliland, Eamon McCann and the green candidate were eliminated with Nicholson picking up 22000 votes and Morgan 20000. This was enough to push Nicholson over the line and the third seat, BDBs surplus was never distributed. What surprised me was that although we are always told the alliance are a unionist party and all the centrist votes are really unionist votes loaned out there was almost a 50/50 split in the transfers. Overall taking into account transfers we ended with about 53% unionist vote 47% nationalist. I still believe it will be an election too early for the SDLP this time although it may be closer than I first thought.

Sorry - regarding the SDLP - If Alban Maginnnnnneeeesss stood on shite - as opposed to standing for Europe - it would make no difference to anyone. SDLP - sons of the pig-owning class of Ireland ..

Easy meat for a smart journalist is yer woman Boyle. Anyhow, nothing wrong with a hairy, overweight woman with a sweaty shuck and - probably - teeth in her arse. It happens to all women once they marry. (well my wife anyhow).  :'(

de bruins posters are hideous looking :o :o

Unfortunately it's not the posters that are hideous looking!

She looks like DeValera on those posters. Are they looking for the FF vote?

Men don't make passes at women who wear glasses! However, I don't think that there is a man in the 32 who has ever made a pass at BDB.
