Anyone out running lately? With lockdown it was sporadic no consistency but being back at work this week the normal routine has allowed me to run more!?

Wouldn't mind getting ready for a few races should they start going again and really barring the start they should be in with a shout if other sports are getting dates

Was this not the same Rory McIlroy who wouldn't play in the Olympics supposedly over fears relating to Zika?  The hypocrisy is galling

There's no defence on that one

Zika is spread by mosquitos who don't really adhere to social distancing. The PGA tour has put enough in place to guarantee the players risk is minimal, something that couldn't be guaranteed by Zika. I don't see the hypocrisy at all.

Well to a point your are right and he alluded to that in the interview, as in, quarantine for 2 weeks and then playing while social distancing.

But coming from the UK which has a high rate and moving to the US would be currently a bad move, also the Gov at the minute are not recommending it and there would be issues with insurance? I don't know the full facts on that side of things.

He could have worded his interview a bit better, like, "I understand the difficulties as I myself didn't want to play during the Zika outbreak"

Programme was mentioned here a couple of weeks back. One thing that I thought it didn't go in to enough was how he actually became so rich. He seemed to talk his way into a lot of his positions. I suppose that followed on into the abuse he inflicted on people

Hedge funds? In Wall street at that time he walked into, or talked his way into seriously high paying jobs, he was caught in one firm lying about his qualifications but obviously doing a great job so he was kept on, the guy who kept him on regretted that decision for sure.

A fecking creep of the highest order, continually buying his way out of trouble and his death came too soon to get to the bottom of his horrible past.

The Dept has produced some more documentation on this. Going by their own plans they are only getting 26 into a room.

Probably four kids in a class of 30 don't want to be there anyways so, find them first and let them school from home!

The children will be back full time in Sept. The guidance is being changed so so quickly that there will be no medical advice for the Teachers to continue hide behind while abdicating their responsibilities.

What about if a child has underlying conditions or a teacher has underlying conditions,, would the guidance be changed for that?

Been in work all week preparing the place for officially opening on Monday

Having looked at our procedures for infection control I'm confident that we are covering everything (I hope)

Apron, gloves, mask, face-shield, desk shields, disinfection wipes/sprays and sanitisers and continual washing hands at our sinks, that side of things are covered.

We've also questions for all of our patients in relation to their current health, and staggered appointments to allow us to wipe down each room before and after they leave.

Appointments only, no waiting and no walk in hours like before!

There is I'm sure other stuff I've left out, but did a run through yesterday and today, the new normal is going to take time to adjust to, how pubs and cafes and the like will get to a standard of safety needed or required is beyond me!

Are you providing facilities for customers to wash their hands? This is one aspect of things that I think has been overlooked, everyone is told to wash their hands but nobody is required to provide facilities for same.

We are providing hand sanitiser at entrance and use of face mask and gloves should they wish, we have hand washing facilities in each room (has been standard before) so they can use them if they so wish, but we were told if they use the hand sanitiser when they are in it should be fine.

I'd be in favour for that also as we can provide it, the last thing I want to do is bring home the virus and by the same token expose someone to it..

I can see cafe handling it ok - changes surely but they will be fine.

Pubs on the other hand will be a mess after a few men/women get liquor down their throat

I've been in town this week and cafes that have outside space are open and serving away, I would say they could tighten things up a bit but I suppose these things will need to be worked on before getting it completely spot on!

It'll be interesting to see if teachers stay away from the pubs when they reopen. If they stay away from GAA as it starts back up. It'll really be interesting to see the choices they make outside of the classroom and their rational for it.

They will follow the science surely?

The teachers are on holiday from next month, so they'll be first into the pubs the lucky gits!

The injuries the other night from the arsenal lads shows that We have a pre season scenario,  where until a player goes flat out after a ball then you'll know whether he's up to speed fitness wise!

Win this match and they may have a chance of catching one of the teams above them, bar Liverpool and City of course ;D

My plan would be to get all the kids back in September every last one of them. 50% return on week 1 then 50% return on week 2 then maybe 75% return week 3 and then every single child in on week 4 which would be the middle of September. Don't forget this is 10 weeks away and kids will have been off for 6 months. 6 months!! Hardly rushing things back
There was 1 case in Northern Ireland yesterday ffs. What is the problem?
If the kids are not back the parents can't work this goes hand in hand.

Child minders are available soon so back to work as normal should apply, unless you are looking at schools as just free babysitters

You shouldn't get one if you require an overdraft but if you have one available to you that's a different matter entirely.

There are lots of reasons not to get a mortgage and had those measures been in place during the mid 90's we wouldn't have been in the state we ended up in 2008!!

Arlene Foster gave me the info that HS couldn't- an average classroom is 60m sq. That doesn't feel big enough to fit 30 pupils plus a teacher in. Double decker desks? Build up when you can't build out?
I just heard that on BBC - the numbers don't sound right. Mark Carruthers giving them a good going over.

Surmfy would know

If you are using an overdraft every month surely that would be a red flag to a mortgage lender would it not

They were offering it, I didn't say I was using it
The fact you have one at all should rule you out of getting a mortgage

I've had two houses and remortgage twice over the years, Ive always had an overdraft, you need to show you haven't been using your overdraft. But hey, maybe you know different
If you keep your current account to a minimum because you move a whack to savings every month, having an overdraft is perfectly reasonable if it is interest-free. In fact, you could argue that it is financially savvy (maybe not at the minute when savings rates are so low, but the principle stands).

I've never had issues with overdraft, £1000 overdraft I'd have thought was standard? Maybe it's not I don't know in fairness.

I generally haven't taken on the finances in the house, if my wife dies or runs off on me I wouldn't have a clue!

As long as I've enough for wine and chocolate,  I'm easy!
I'm not surprised she deals with the finances.

So can you get mortgages with an overdraft? Cause you seem to be on the ball on this?
