not really working yet. only gone 5 mths. i am temping (2 mths) in a mining compnay before travelling again, looking at spreadsheets all day but its easy and the pay is ok although the dollar has gone from .66 to .52 against the euro since i've come over.

Loads of jobs in Perth anway. I had loads of interviews lined up but got the first job i applied and probably the best/easier for the best money. Avoiding going home as i'll have to face up to my Mortgage and full-time employment again. Luckily i have .8 above ecb for the life of the mortgage which helps alot while i'm away as the rent almost covers the interest only part.

having worked in a bank branch, i find this harsh on your average branch or dept. bank Official, i don't see how they are responsibile for this.

Quote) Banks should be told that there are no staff bonuses at any level and no dividends to be paid for as long as this guarantee is in place

otherwise excellent post.

Done the east coast about 2 mths ago and it was amazing - sky dive in Mission Beach, Cairns, whitsundays and Frazer were the highlights, the valley in Brisvegas was good, arts factory in Byron was good. Townsville was boring and Didn't like sydney, might as well been at home, dragged to every irish bar over two weeks and ended up in the tea gardens a couple of times (a brighter Coppers). don't think i saw anyone other than irish while there.

working for Rio Tinto at the moment in Perth. Not in the Mines, just Booking accom. for all the miners in dampier etc. Heading up the coast on Nov. 14th. to darwin. Anyone list a few places we shouldn't miss on the way.

cheers

Jimmy Nail has just turned 26. he is a super player always has been since u-12. Always had a bit of an edge to him and has been very hard to manage. he loves playing football though and when i met him last year he told me he never forgave his u-16 manager who wouldn't play in the u-16 final even though he had broken his hand in the semi-final. St. brigids were vey strong attcking but weak at the back, they miss Ian kilbride and Donal o'Connor. hopefully they can make it 2 in a row
