Cross were just that bit cuter but crupps are young and if we can keep the team together we can build
Was proud that we stood toe to toe with cross and didn't back down
Felt we had to work harder for frees around the nets but all in all
Cross always stayed ahead of us and move on in Armagh.

Could I have some views on Go Games u-8 and u-10. In matches we pick a stronger team and a weaker team, as do the opposition.  But it's been divisive with kids and parents catching on that there's a sort of 1st team and some have been annoyed if they aren't on it.  Plus the weaker team is left very weak - they would need a couple of the stronger players to bring the wee ones into it.  Anyone any experience / advice on this?  My feeling is to change it and pick 2 even teams, the kids should all be in it together and it's not supposed to be competitive anyway.

i mix both teams up so each has a range of abilities because at that stage it should not be about winning but enjoyment( altho tell that to parents) i also encourage the stronger guys only to hold the ball for 5 seconds tops so that they have to pass
from my own experience i played with county footballers who only grasped playing at say 16/17
people develop at different times and with small clubs it is better to keep everyone involved rather than lose kids who see themselves as weak
for myself my son is a young 9 and would be weak but i can see him developing and in his own wee mind  as we send out evenly matched teams to go games he  is more than happy to go because he is not in the reserves

Last night, and as far as I know there is.

For what it's worth I reckon the winners will be

Maghery v Crossmaglen - Tie of the round. Maghery have beat Cross convincingly in the league and will be confident of beating them in champ. That said I think Cross mgmt will have sounded out Maghery as potential threats to them retaining their crown and may have fielded a weakened side in that game. Even if it is close I'd expect the 50/50 calls to go the way of Cross.

Dromintee/St Pat's v Culloville - Whoever wins Dromintee/Pats should account for Culloville, who by all accounts were awful against an even worse Clann Eireann side. Be a close game nonetheless however I feel those two teams have too much for Culloville.

Pearse Og v Ballymacnab - Ogs will win this hands down. Ballymacnab's MF and FB line are suspect in my opinion and won't be able to cope with the power Pearse Og have all over the pitch. (and on the bench). Ballymacnab when they got going against Clans were outstanding but I can't see them getting that same freedom afforded to them against the Ogs.

Carrickcruppen v Sarsfields - Tough enough call but I feel if Sarsfield's continue their league form they should beat a Cruppen side who laboured to a facile win over Junior League candidates Newtown. Sarsfield's in attack always seem to score plenty of goals which should swing this tie in their favour.

I reckon you have that about right Fitzroyalty, but there is always a surprise somewhere in the championship

Club is a mess.

I just don't get the hype with McGeeney and Kildare. They have won nothing despite all their huffing a puffing and have always come up well short at the business end of the season. Kildare certainly aren't getting value for money.

Mc geeney must be under pressure given the level of investment in him and the various coaches,

Surely Glenn Ryan must have his supporters in the county .

I hope that we can persuade someone like mc entee to take charge, as a south Armagh man I actually think that cross like to foster the seige mentality that the rest of the county is against them, this is untrue, i am proud to have played for my club but I love my county dearly and for me 2002 stands up there with the birth of my kids as one of the happiest days of my life.
That is why some of us don't buy in to hoping cross win the andy merrigan each year,
It doesn't help the county . we need  themfor Armagh  playing in February and march each year for the county.
