GAA Discussion / Re: Money, Dublin and the GAA
« on: September 09, 2018, 07:33:04 PM »
Well all that  money didn't stop Derry dropping To divs 4 in 3yrs
Tbf there is a lot of good work being done in Derry city, ( historically a soccer city)which has to be credited. Hopefully it assists the oak leaf county in future years.
What I find scandalous is the gap between cork and Dublin.
As an aside was at the final this year,  couldnít believe how easy it was to get tickets , Dublinís domination is killing the game because a fair few werenít interested in paying 80 euros to watch a forgone conclusion.

We will have to wait and see what happens. Jusr think LFC as a professional organisation should and will provide some further clarity for the benefit of their millions of followers.
would assume legal matters ongoing to both parties keeping quiet until settled, remember buvac still under contract so will still be paid.

Dubs are no great shakes out of Croker

Jeez Tyrone working hard for frees
Not fair

And I hate the tyronnie fkers

GAA Discussion / Re: Roscommon v Armagh

Joe McQuillan to Ref it I hear.
A disaster for Armagh
We know we are going to get nothing from him

On the basis of that display today -  if Armagh make the super 8s they will be absolute cannon fodder to the likes of Dublin/ Donegal/ Kerry / Galway / Monaghan/ Tyrone
I donít think they will make the last 8 - unless they get Fermanagh again
Iíd fancy Cork/ Roscommon/ Laois to beat them. Very average.
The orchard isnít wilting
Fk off back to Tyrone

Trust me with five minutes to go we would have taken anything.
Season still alive
Armagh arenít a great side but they sure had some heart to pluck the victory.

Armagh by 3
Unfortunately Rafferty and Mc Parland injuresd
But team taking shape

So Armagh are appealing all 10 suspensions. Ffs, the GAA disciplinary procedures are utterly useless. Does the Armagh Co Board really believe that not one Armagh player deserves a suspension? Like I said before, a newly rewritten rule book is needed so loopholes are eliminated and decisions are more water tight. Iíd double suspensions if appeals are unsuccessful.

No doubt those posters falling over themselves to condemn Tyroneís appeal last week will be doing the same again here??

Are we really appealing all ten? Thatís a joke.

why is appealing all ten a joke.
I take it you have never been involved in the legal process  ;)
its always the case you appeal all in the expectation of being successful in a few.

agree total apathy in both counties, won`t be travelling as just can`t seem to muster the enthusiasm, its simply prolonging the inevitable hammering somewhere down the line if Armagh win.

Chatting to a guy today and he said the basis of the appeal is not that players were brought back on for extra time. Thatís allowee. Rather that one of the players brought back on was the player who got sent off for two yellow cards. Apparently thatís not allowed
my understanding is that this isn't articulated in their appeal
the 15 players is the basis of their appeal
they I believe acknowledge that they also had 15 players on the pitch

chatting to a fair few guys from tyrone who are disappointed to say the least with the appeal.
the feeling from a few guys is  is that they feel the tyrone county board hope that both teams are thrown out which will only heighten the antagonism between the orchard and the red hands
can`t see the athletic grounds being used by tyrone for their  club championship this year or for a fair few years.
next time a club from tyrone asks me to buy a £100 ticket I know what answer they are getting ;D

Tyrone have lodged an appeal regarding both being allowed to play 15  during second half of extra time
As the rules donít allow it
But ffs if that is the rule they were hardly disadvantaged

How many matches would Armagh need to win to get to the Super 8? Would that be three since the provincial finalist losers need to be added to the mix?

3 more

While this possible, you could beat Sligo, Louth and Lapis say, I'm not sure it would be entirely a good thing. Although you'd have one big game in Armagh.
Armagh never beat Laois 😎

Armagh officials attacking players - Armagh subs bench clearing onto the pitch to gang attacked Tyrones active players was absolutely disgusting sc**bag behaviour.

When an Armagh manager attacks and ends the game for an important Tyrone player and then they go on to win the game - its a hollow victory really!

Good Luck to Derry in the final.

loving it
Armagh beating tyrone  and tyrone bleating all good.
