Ah Max even you have to admit that Dungiven would be the form team going into this weekend's match... 10/1 for a draw in our match?? Here maybe your people and my people could get together and make something happen ;)

What?? Are you serious? Surely they should have let him play sooner seeing as he was cleared of all charges ages ago. It's a pure joke if you ask me. When he was cleared of any wrong doing the GAA should have let him be avilable to play as of then... another perfect example of the incompetency of our disciplinary system!

NO WAY DUDE!

Girls are at that shite all the time but lads should never be at it unless you're goin out with the girl (or you're a complete sleazbag!)... and as someone has mentioned before she will definitely read too much into it.

Best signing off "Smell ya later" or "laterz" or something. NEVER with the x thing!

Great television! Makes a complete mockery of Hollywood and Movie stars. In fairness some of the cameo's in it are absolutely hilarious. Gary Busey is a particular favourite of mine!

Derry are in the process of finalising the Senior Cship quarter finals. Heard this morning that they were all on this weekend but now the website has fixed one for this weekend and another for 22nd September. Hopefully it will be finalised by today!

Well done to Derry and the Screen lads in particular... great to see a good representation from our club and indeed their can be no complaints about the managements biased selection as there is a wide range of players from Senior to junior clubs both North and South Derry.

I think I might make the trip down to headquarters now for the final and I'd be fairly optimistic of us against Galway but it should also be a very entertaining game. Doire abú!

Just to throw it out there but who gets player of the championship so far??

Thinking about it I would have to say Nicholas Murphy at this point!

If Fay does get one I think it would be akin to the Allstar that Peter Canavan got in 2005... not deserved! He has played OK in some matches but he got cleaned out against Cork and he was just OK against Dublin. Kevin McCloy has been immense in every match he's played and hasn't put a foot wrong all year. He's far more deserving of an award that Paddy Bradley may well get for his performance against Dublin... McCloy was MOTM that day!

QuoteAny Sligofan would only have donovan as an allstar. No better corner back in the country.

Well we have 2 better in Derry but that's neither here nor there. I didn't se much of Sligo but I think you definitely deserve an Allstar for winning Connacht and if he's been your best player then he should get it. It depends a lot though on whether it's done as an anonymous poll from the players or a democratic process throughout managers, media and players.

Ah HA! Good work Rick O!

As for you Will... we knew what we were doing all the time ;)... in fairness though whereas before Screen would have been out first round, we'll have at least 4 games in the championship. With the young team we have at the minute that can only be an advantage.

4 championship matches in 1 year... I think  from 1999 we played 14 games and won 5 with 5 first round exits!!! The new system is a massive improvement as far as I can see.

Unless Canty has a MOTM performance in the final I have to say that Kevin McCloy should get the FB spot, Fay was massively overrated this year IMO!

Cavanagh is dubious and I think Whelan or O'Sé (Depending on AIF performance) will get the nod there.

Will Moyles get one?? Not sure about that. I think Stephen Bray had a better campaign than Moyles although I'm not doubting he's a talented footballer.

Wouldn't give one to Cahill, possibly Lynch from Cork or Damien Freeman he was immense for Monaghan all year as was McQuaid and I think Monaghan deserve 2 All Stars.

Sligo possibly deserve one... how is it picked? Is it the media or the players. If players then I would say there will be someone else who would get that CB spot other than Donovan, likely Henry.

Other than that I would agree with your selection for the rest.

Have to agree with Ben... Fast Eddie would be legendary to go on the rip with and hopefully you'd get some of his sloppy seconds as well... very nice!

Teddy Sheringham... A great man for the partying.

Joe Brolly... For the banter, markd him once and we may as well have been drinking he wouldn't stop chattin' the whole match!

Tony Scullion... Have been out drinking with him and some of the stories are legendary!!!

In order of preference...

1. Dessie Dolan Senior
2. Sean Boylan
3. Mickey Harte
4. Joe Kernan
5. Jack O'Connor
6. Brian McIver
7. Charlie Mulgrew
........................
........................
........................
Tommy Lyons

Good list but I'd have Pillar above Mulgrew and O'Mahoney in there somewhere.

Personally I think Seamus McEneaney is a super manager. Does exactly what he says on the tin, he strikes you as the kind of manager that asks a lot of his players but it's not anything he wouldn't do himself. Along with that he has proven himself to be very tactically astute this year in the way he's played a lot of teams. For the players to have bought into his way of doing things (they've been off the drink pretty much the last 3 years!!) takes leadership and charisma of the highest order and I for one would be happy for him to take Derry!
