General discussion / Re: The Many Faces of US Politics...

There are hundreds of millions of people living in third world conditions in countries that share either a direct or indirect land border with the US. Do you think he should encourage or discourage people from these count to come here illegally?

Illegal immigration should be deterred but not by separating kids from their families, there are many other means to do it!!

There you go a simple answer to a simple question be careful your brain doesn't explode because it's not something you've been able to do yourself previously!!

Haha-Believe whatever you want.

Let's see if the Democrats are serious about fixing the problem or if they're happy to continue using these people as pawns to hammer Trump

We have no fvckin idea who's crossing the border and that needs to end. A few years ago a "teenager" who was enrolled in school actually ended up being 25years old. Would you like your 12 year old daughter or son going to school with a 25 year old man who no one knows nothing about.

I know, I sure as hell wouldn't and if you think that's rascist, well good for you

I'm pretty sure you've got this the wrong way round . . . it's the Whitehouse policy to do this so obviously they're looking for something in return from the Dems to make it stop!!

But the GOP control the Whitehouse and Congress so all the shit they're getting is more than well deserved!!

Russia haven't exactly beat 2 superpowers of world football.

That's not remotely the issue . . . they've run further than any other team in the competition by a good way and as Dinny says they probability is that other teams are juicing as well. Not that the World Cup needs to be any more farcical but this adds to it!

The Russian team have collectively run further in their 2 matches than any other team in the competition has done in any other game. . .

A lot of people get viciously carried away about very trivial things when it comes to golf!!

Phil was like +10 at the time who cares??

Jesus the amount of halfwits online would amaze you with this geoblocking saga ... itís Croke Parkís fault for selling the rights to Sky apparently!!

If you tried to explain it to them their heads might explode!!

Sky donít have the rights for champions league games but they get blocked too

Yes because BT hold the rights to show CL games in the UK... RT… even though available in the UK have to have these geoblocked as well as they are only allowed to show these games in Ireland.

The issue is that the geoblocking ďdepartmentĒ went home before the Sunday Game so forgot to turn it back on again after the WC had finished.

GAA Discussion / Re: Neil Francis

By claiming rugby as the national sport (again) he is simply trying to keep his name in the headlines. Francis is not the worst pundit, at least he gives his opinion but I think he is deliberately trying to wind people up on this issue knowing that he will get a reaction.

The amount of media coverage that an end of season series junket with very little meaning attracts is mystifying.

You don't understand test rugby if you think get hammered in contact by professional sports men with an average weight of 100kg is a junket. It's fair to say also you don't understand professional rugby or indeed the cultural significance around test rugby period if you think a test win has little meaning.

You're probably right, I don't understand it then.

Die hard rugby followers might understand it but I would hazard a guess that there are an awful lot of 'event junkies' in the country who purely tune in for big Heineken Cup and 6 nations matches and do not really follow the sport outside of those occasions. I would classify myself amongst them but for Neil Francis to claim it as the national sport because of this is just for wind up purposes and I doubt if he genuinely believes his own assertion.

If you get a chance to watch that last Ireland Australia game again you should. . . it was played far from Friendly pace and the hits involved don't seem like they were from lads who were out in Australia just having a bit of craic!!

Francis is a mouthpiece and he's only saying this National Sport nonsense to get a reaction. Who really cares anyway?! Can we not watch both and enjoy them?!

I have Fleetwood backed at 33/1 came from nowhere

Same... need the wind to kick up then he has a real chance. I think the best he could hope for is a playoff but hard to see these lads not getting under par.
