Interesting selection all right, though a few of the higher numbers are missing off that list (as usual), i.e., Rónán O'Neill.

As per normal tyrone subs are in alphabetical order - e.g. Ricey, McNally, Ronan O Neil, Sean O Neil if appealing suspension etc. They have to name 26 but tog out all 32 or so and then only Harte knows who the 26 players who are listed.

Did anyone hear that the U16 season is being run off first this year, commencing first week of March?

Why's that, and what'll be the logistics of it?

Yeah it is from what i hear - think it came about from the feed back at the end of year youth meeting. Not a bad scenerio as u16 tended to drift slightly due to summer holidays and then it always conflicted with schools matches in september.

Such a disappointment today, that game.

Cross are a superbly well oiled machine, and bar a handful of poor wides, didn't make or execute a bad decision between them all day. Their speed, mastery of the basics, and willingness to put the team first, is simply phenomenal. I'd even say unrivalled at any level of the sport.

There is a cynical aspect to the way they cut of attacks at source through deliberate fouls, but like the great Kerry teams, they do it with such style and accuracy, you'd hardly notice.

Burren were poor. The injuries and suspensions cost them dearly in that so many of their first XV froze today, with the right personnel on the bench, Dawson would have used all his subs within the first 20 mins. They also ran out of steam after giving it a decent lag after the break. Their handling was atrocious in the first half; the kind of thing that suggest a team distracted by events rather than focused on their game.

Sludden was a joke. Too interested in making decisions instead of letting football take place.

Best players on show, for me, were McKeown and O Callaghan, though the class of Cross's Armagh contingent played a huge factor in the game.

Well done Cross. Worthy champions.

was sludden reffing?

I fear its going to be record breaking suspensions/punishments. The media attention surrounding this is 10 fold of the Antrim incident and Tyrone wont be looking to be soft touches. Punish the supporters not the club!!!!

I would think it will be harsh if any longer suspensions than 3 months were handed out to players, how many players threw punches?, very few.  i am sure the county board video camera would have caught them and they will deal with it like any other punch. The only players that may receive a  greater suspension are the players that jumped up on the fence.
How do you punish supporters, In reality suspending them means nothing, you look at the man given life after the ladies final he appears back at a match the following month. The county board may see the only way to really punish supporters is by closing the pitches for a year (not saying i agree with it) and then every sunday when their club has an away fixture they are constantly reminded of it.

Match should've have been in Healy Park rather then tighter confines of Dunmoyle.

Agree - it would be difficult to start a full scale malee in the stand in Omagh. Also most carrickmore fans always stand in the terrace anyway so both fans would have been far apart, plus the umbrella man would have needed a super long umbrella to get near a player.

U-21 squad announced and there is no place for Dean McNally Radda, and you were of the opinion that he deserved a shot at the senior set-up. Whats going on there then? What did Kildress do to the county that their men never get a shot?

where did you see the panel at?

Dromore played carmen off the park for the whole game. Couldnt live with them, Dromore are very imprssive and have set the standard for the rest to follow. McCarron , Oneill and Mickey Garry were not playing on sunday and won confortable.

Forgot about o neill and Garry - if both were fully fit would probably be 2 automatic starters.
O Neil being suspended may affect their chances of winning u21s - is he still underage?

Out of interest, the man that struck the player on the pitch with the umbrella - was this during the melee which began on the pitch?  Was there any bother in the stand before this or did it stem from the umbrella strike? If so, you have to say that the umbrella wielding man has a lot to answer.  Granted it seemed to get awfully out of hand afterwards but you can't hit someone over the wire with an umbrella and not expect a reaction.

He probably picked the wrong match to start swinging umbrella's as well to be fair...

Carmen player was taking a sideline ball when the Dromore fan hit him with the umbrella.

Both clubs have to take responsibility for their supporters actions. Should put forward the main culprits - they are no use to either club if they are going to act like that.
Hopefully we never see anything like this again. Have to say that if there had been no handlings on the pitch nothing would have happened in the stand.

One point Bally was there a side line ball? as far as i recall 3 carrickmore players had one dromore player up against the wire and thats when supporter got involved.

The video would be some viewing!

QuoteViolent scenes at Tyrone Gaelic Football League Final

Tyrone GAA chiefs will launch an investigation  after Sunday's county football league final was marred by violence on  and off the field.         A mass brawl broke out on the field in the closing minutes of  the game and violence then erupted in the stands with several people  involved. The match between Dromore and Carrickmore was held up for around 10 minutes before play eventually resumed.
County champions Dromore won 0-11 to 0-6 at Dunmoyle near Ballygawley.
One eyewitness told BBC Sport that "blood was spilled" during the disturbances in the stand.
Carrickmore players Gabriel McCallan and Plunkett McCallan,  who are bothers, were sent off following the mass brawl on the pitch.
Tyrone GAA PRO Damien Harvey acknowledged that the scenes  "were not pleasant viewing" and confirmed that the county's competitions  control committee would investigate the disturbances after receiving  the referee's report.
"The county's CCC (competitions control committee) which is a  sub-committee independent of the county board will take any necessary  action after studying the referee's report," said the Tyrone PRO.
Referees are required to produce their match reports within three days of games.
Despite the scenes, Mr Harvey said that there were no reports of anybody sustaining major injuries.
Tyrone GAA county chairman Ciaran McLaughlin added that the  involvement of spectators in the disturbances was a "worrying  development".
"When something happens outside the perimeter of the field,  and spectators become involved, it is very serious," added the Tyrone  chairman.
Earlier this season, a referee was seriously assaulted at a  ladies match in Tyrone, as a result of which two men, one of them a  member of the Carrickmore management team, received lifetime bans.
Dromore's victory saw them completing a championship and league double in Tyrone football.

Several people would be an under statement.
The worst part for me was I saw one dromore lady with 2 very young children trying to get them out of the road - unreal for small children having to witness that.

people in south dont seem too bothered about this, it was not even in top 10 news stories in the rte.ie yesterday. It is a massive blow for the North but think of the contibution southern people were going to gain out of it -and the number of experienced engineers / construction workers in the south who are out of work that it may have helped.
Remember Sisk and Roadbridge - Irelands 2 biggest civil engineering companies would have getting around £200 million for their section. Fair blow to these companies also. Where will they replace this turnover from??

Yes the fixture wasn't in the master list for this time of year and Ricey had organised this for out of season so putting it off for him is no big deal. When you look at his sacrifices to his personal life over the years why shouldn't he be accomodated.
Carmen I am sure would want to win the league against a Dromore with Ricey but then again from Errigal's point of view in recent years winning leagues is very important.

Talking to one one dromores finest in enniskillen this morning - said stag is not until before christmas, why would we organise a stag if we had ambitions to be playing in the ulster semi final this weekend was his response.

Ciaran Gourley has packed it in too! Suffered a lot from injury, and never really got a decent lash at it because of that. Very few of the 03 brigade left now!

Did he not pack in guring middle of last year anyway
