St Enda's have paid nought in recent years with various club men at the helm. Word is Larry Strain and Barry McGinn are stepping down. If so, big shoes to fill after landing the O'Neill Cup and getting to the Ulster Club final.

Well it was discussed before and there had been a rumour going around that Omagh pleaded to get into to division 2 because they didn't think they could win div 1 which IMO goes against all grading principles!
I dont think Omagh wanted to go to grade 2 because they didnt think they would win grade 1. They wanted to go because they wanted to be competitive. IMO this present Omagh minor team wouldnt win the grade 2 either. This is not me being disrespectful to Omagh either.
I think most would agree the U16 Omagh team that won the U-16 Grade 2 double would have been very competitive in division 1 - they probably would not have won it but they would definetly not have finished last.
For a team like omagh to win so much at U-16 in grade 1 in the recent past to ask to drop to division 2 last year was bad form IMO.
If this principle was allowed and applied for every team there would only be 6-8 teams in div 1 every year.
Your club has a grade 1 only policy I would say you had many a manager with the temptation of dropping a grade to walk to a title but didn't do it!
Quote from: Knock Yer Mucker In on May 16, 2014, 10:25:19 AMThe problem for MH is that a lot of players are excellent in their own right but not at the level of the players from 2003/2005/2008 so hard to distinguish between equal abilities. All opinions. Hopefully they do the business. Alternative team for Sunday would easily give Down a game:
Welcome to our world lads, we are well used to it, although we can't figure it out.
I still can't figure out how Lavery was not given one minute of game time at WHB in any competition this season. Initially I thought Harte didn't want a Mc Ginley/Lavery whb combo, but then it turns out he has been playing Mc Ginley at whf in some league games and in the in house matches prior to the team selection fro Sundays game, but low and behold after telling Lavery at the start of the season he saw him as a half forward, he is now playing him at whb in the in house matches.

It's turning out to be one hell of a year for the Rahilly men. Complete domination.
Quote from: Tommo2 on December 10, 2012, 11:24:31 AMWas speaking to a Cappagh man yesterday on the same. He mentioned that has all 3 teams finished level and without Kildress scores then the CCC were using 'scores for' between those games. He said CCC didnt have many options open unless the 3 teams played each other in a round robin series again!!! Unless lads away, surprised Kildress not fielding as they reached the minor final 3 years ago. Tommo2 as a cappagh gael what's your solution??? Greencastle won't be far away with Warnock & McCullaghs.Quote from: scout on December 10, 2012, 09:55:03 AM
heard it was a good game in the loughshore down until the last 10,where ardboe killed it off. ardboe to win G2 & cookstown to win G1, can't see past it.
Is it true Carmen & Killyclogher are appealing the county board decision to put Greencastle in the semi-final? If so, it may have a while to run yet!

Darn that. Maybe we should do without even turning up tomorrow.
Was told by an Omagh man few days ago that Omagh would do very well in ulster and all Ireland series if they could get out of Tyrone.
Now they're wearing white it seems it's all over. Cross must be trembling
One wit has suggested that although they have the white jerseys they also include the virtual yellow streak up the back

Quote from: Rocky Mc Guigan on September 24, 2011, 11:47:27 PMRocky you have a fascination with this site alright. Most frequent browser. Have to admit omagh had fab support in numbers up at the game. Seen a few of your fellow sarsfields ones up at the game. For the semi final run up sure become a friend of the St Enda's facebook site There's a number of sarsfields already friends
Beware Omagh-they will be unloading the extra friends, flags and cuddly toys for the semi final. Heaven help Dromore/Ardboe. Imagine the crescendo and outpourings of fanmania from the St Enda's facebook site if they make the final

lol you lot are laughable....few of you seem to have been at the game, so don't know what happened, yet want the Moortown man named and shamed.
I can tell you that McMahon started the row between the two players and hit his marker a dig, he then realised he messed with the wrong man.
I really hope Joe is ok, but lets not pretend he in whiter than white!

Think we'll wait and hear what happened before naming and shaming.
Quote from: Dell on April 17, 2011, 06:16:03 PMJoe McMahon sustained a broken jaw during the first half following an incident off the ball
McMahon off with broken jaw and Ronan O'Neill off injured. Don't know how either happened but no sending off

Justin McMahon misses Omagh's next championship game,no matter what date it's on.
Will he miss league games over the next month or is it just suspension from championsip for being sent off in the championship?
