Just a little observation about the match on Sunday. Not one player from the county final or league final last year on show here. Only Omagh have any representation from any of the teams that qualified for the league semi finals. Is our club football bad or is it not a good indication of a quality of a player anymore?

Wee Roddy, I agree with you but ;

A wee observation about your post. No player from last years county final in starting 15 - you are correct. Omagh did not qualify for top 4 ACL semi finals last year and in fact narrowly avoided relegation play off. Last years top 4 was Dromore, Carmen, Ardboe and Clonoe with only 1 player representing these 4 clubs - Kyle Coney.

Hard to fathom that but IMHO Gormley, McAliskey, McNabb, Sparky Donnelly should all be on first 15.

There are actually 6 from these squads named on the bench  :-\ :o :-\ - hard to understand

Wee Roddy

You are indeed correct. Kyle Coney was not playing in the league final though! So its none from the league semi finalists or county senior finals then.

Knock Yer Mucker In

Welcome to our world lads, we are well used to it, although we can't figure it out.
I still can't figure out how Lavery was not given one minute of game time at WHB in any competition this season. Initially I thought Harte didn't want a Mc Ginley/Lavery whb combo, but then it turns out he has been playing Mc Ginley at whf in some league games and in the in house matches prior to the team selection fro Sundays game, but low and behold after telling Lavery at the start of the season he saw him as a half forward, he is now playing him at whb in the in house matches.

The problem for MH is that a lot of players are excellent in their own right but not at the level of the players from 2003/2005/2008 so hard to distinguish between equal abilities. All opinions. Hopefully they do the business. Alternative team for Sunday would easily give Down a game:

Goals = Michael o'Neill
Backs = PJ, Justin, Dermy
McNabb, Gormley, Lavery

Mid = Grugan, Plunkett Kane
Forwards = Penrose, Ronan, Shay McGuigan
Stevie, Mark Donnelly, McAliskey

Subs = 2 McKennas, Hughes, Big Joe

sam03/05

yeah championship will surely be off

tyroneboi

I have a feeling they will try and squeeze in a round if tyrone are beat on Saturday. First round of the qualifiers are 21st June so maybe the last weekend in May and first weekend in June to get it played?Probably not be possible to get a round in if tyrone win as quarter final is 15th June.

Under Lights

Will there be a starred round of games on Friday night? Hope so.

hugh the root

I am disappointed that Shea mcguigan did nt get on against Down today He surely would have been a better option than Stephen O Neill who must be match rusty.I thought Mcguigan had a great game against the Dubs Niall Mc Kenna was also another strande selection.

Any fixtures updates? Round of Div 3 ACL on Sunday. What about championship?

blewuporstuffed

according to usually aren't far away

QuoteFollowing on from Tyrone's draw with Down yesterday in the Ulster senior championship and with the replay set for Newry this Saturday evening it is believed that the Tyrone CCC are planning to play the entire first round of the Senior and Intermediate club championships over a five day period beginning next Wednesday evening.
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either

time ticking away

Must be some egos clashing in the administrators of Tyrone club football. It now seems that clubs such as Errigal, Carrickmore and Omagh are only been given a few days to prepare for the biggest game of their respective years with their full panels, so the county board can show everyone who is boss. Omagh must be the worst hit with 4 or 5 on the Tyrone squad
canavan is the man canavan is the man ee aye adi ooh.......

Waiting for the email due out by this Wednesday with all fixtures up to July holidays

Omagh have 6 county men as far as im aware so would be worst hit...regardless this shouldnt be allowed to happen. If tyrone win cant see MH allowing it to happen - tyrone up again on 15th june and 2 tough games played in a week..clubs need to make a stand regardless, as you say their being asked to play the biggest game of their season without adequate preparation and availability of their star players.
Looked like Mccann done a hammer yesterday, so mayve been unavailable for his club this week if their game had went ahead.
