General discussion / Re: TV Show recommendations

Massive boxset fan looking to move on to a new series. Ive just finished Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire. Any recommendations out there? The Walking Dead? The Killing? I've all the usuals like The Wire, Entourage, Sopranos done. Something brand new or even an all time classic is what I am after!

As usual, a lot of men prepared to chat about someone's personality on here without having met them.

I've met him and as I said before the man's a c*ck IMO!

I am sure you said that to his face of course? Or did you just wait to bad mouth him on here?

Well I really didn't want to get into it but as a matter of fact I did tell him what I thought of him - at QUB! so whats your point now?

I would be very surprised that a poor reserve player like yourself, who is scared stiff on the field but does plenty of slabbering on here, would have the balls to say anything to him ! come on now tell the truth  :D

Now we're getting very personal. I would be surprised if a new poster like yourself, who is scared stiff that he sets up a new name to attack someone else, would have the balls to say anything to the poster you attacked and prob dont even know!! Poor show!

Comedy Gold here. Poster with 10 posts calling another poster a new poster and getting worked up about his contribution.

Comedy Gold??? Its definitely not that funny. I wasnt attacking the amount of posts, moreso the fact he set up an account purely to attack Radda.

I thought when Colm slapped the ground like a small child, it was a show of respect for referees! Does that mean throwing his arms up to the sky like an iltaian footballer isn't a sign of respect for refs either.

Moy underage coaches do a gentle 10 minute warm up on this skill at every training session. Its integral to the Moy club's ethos to act like spoilt children. It seems to be paying off for them.

What is your obsession with all things Moy? Im no pussy!

I was actually agreeing with you there, chill my violent friend.

I know what you're talking about Radda. Moortown Spuds is a Moy man masquerading as a Malachy! Quite sad really. But then again, I can tell why he's so angry!

In fairness Frank McGurk deserves a trial although he might have missd the boat. Im sure thats the player Radda was referring to because the rest are brutal.

Hardly true that the rest are brutal. Kildress going to Division 1 arent they? Fran Loughran, Dessy Tracey, Dean Mc Nally all very handy players. Who from Moortown/Moy deserves a trial?

Need someone to enter their ten first and request a mini league. I am not going to put my ten in until Friday probably, always leave it to the last possible minute!

Have to see how Peddlers gets on today anyway!

Just thinking even if we don't have an official mini league setup, we could just post our lists up here and one of us can keep track of it during the year, wouldn't be too hard.

They've a good comp on the Irish section of the Betfair forum. We could work something similar here if we had enough interest I reckon:

Rules

2. Each stable to consist of 10 Irish-trained horses.
3. Competition to start... Saturday 12th November 2011
4. Closing date for entries... 12pm Saturday 12th November 2011
5. Competition to end ... last day of 2012 Punchestown festival (Saturday April 28th).
6.  A person can change their selection as many times as they want up to the start date of the competition. last selection before this date, or first after will then be taken as final.

8. Transfer periods are as follows:
i. Christmas transfer period 20th - 26th December 2011, closing at 12pm on the 26th December. Two transfers.
ii. Cheltenham transfer period 9th - 13th March 2012, closing at 12pm on the 13th March. Two transfers.
iii. Final transfer period, Punchestown 20th April - 24th April 2012, closing at 12pm on the 24th April. Two transfers.

9. Points scoring:

Aboslutely shocking from Miriam O'Callaghan, it made my blood boil. Between her and that waste of space Mitchell, they didnt give Mc Guinness a fair chance and attacked him repeatedly. Typical of some of the Southern media and those who view Northeners and the 6 Counties as the sickman of Ireland and second class citizens. I had been leaning towards Gallagher all along but didnt think he handled himself well tonight with the questions about FF etc.

We all hoping to get Estonia in the playoff? Anyone any idea of what the other teams are like?
