I remember the "Keep Rovers at Milltown" movement in the late 80s when the owners sold the stadium out from under the club to property developers. They floated around for years after that before they ended up in Tallaght.

I think Shelbourne were originally out in Ringsend, but moved to Tolka Park after Home Farm absorbed Drumcondra and eventually left Tolka before finally going back to amateur and youth football.

Quote from: Denn Forever on Today at 01:42:28 PMWill Klopp be deemed a successful manager,  Not a great soccer fan, but can only remember winning the premier league. Rescue them from the downward trajectary, will only remember the smile.

Paisley won more and transformed them into the best team in Europe, but Klopp's transformation of the club was second only to Shankly in scale.

He's definite top three and arguably top two in the greatest ever Liverpool managers.

Quote from: RedHand88 on February 17, 2024, 07:30:26 PMDon't worry, the much talked about City "16 wins in a row streak" is right around the corner  ::)  ::)  ::)

Quote from: RedHand88 on March 31, 2024, 06:54:16 PMThat's our Erling! Scores 5 against Luton. #beststrikerintheworld.

Not to fear though, City will go on a 15 game winning streak (tm) any. day. now.

Just the 9 game winning streak required this season.

16 wins, 3 draws, 0 losses in second half of the season.

Knicks out, but that was a superb effort overall given the incredible amount of injuries they suffered. Hope they can build on this.

What's with the crowds on the pitch?

City's PL form since the turn of the year:

P18 W15 D3 L0

Regular as clockwork.

Draws with Liverpool and Arsenal. Not sure on the other.

Quote from: Keyser soze on May 15, 2024, 09:53:35 AMMy god there are some crying hoors in the GAA who want everything for free, I surely hope they are over represented on this board or the organisation is truely in trouble.

Crying about the price of tickets to games, and the price of diesel to get to games, and how much a feed costs, and having to get a ticket for the wains, and not getting to see every game on FTA tv, and the game they just saw was lateral shite, and the forward mark, and the studio analysis, and negative managers, and people coming to the door selling tickets for their club, and the amount of money the GAA has, and the lack of money the GAA gives our club, ad nauseum ad nauseum ad nauseum.

And then thinking they are great GAA men when they've not ever wore a shirt or even washed a shirt.

I would say the vast majority of posters on here are not even GAA members.

You forgot the referee being biased against their team! Every single game!  ;D

Quote from: J70 on May 16, 2024, 10:53:09 AMManhunt is really good.

Dramatization of the Lincoln assassination and subsequent hunt for John Wilkes Booth. Booth played by Anthony Boyle, Edwin Stanton, Secretary of War who was Lincoln's right hand man and led the investigation, by Tobias Menzies.

What platform is this on?

In the US, it's on Apple TV.

Thankfully cooler heads prevailed and we returned to win our second Ulster the following year.

Apparently we did actually toy with the idea of joining the Connacht championship after the Battle OF Ballybofey in 1973.  ;D
