Sure there has to be some sensitivity around his wife's health, but he's using that as an excuse for his resignation, not his homophobic opinions and rantings and IMO he's wrong to play that card.

The PSNI should still be looking to see if he's broken any laws in his recent outbursts irrespective if he's resigned or not!
