It's been a while since I've watched Bad Santa. Does it give up the secret?

Watched Miracle on 34th Street recently and its basic premise is that we have no proof that god is real but we know he is... ditto for Santa!

Eldest is 9 so had plenty of questions and I think we batted them away well enough but it was annoying to have to!

Bit of a blunder that for a movie aimed at kids.

Felt nostalgic last year and watched The Gremlins with the kids. Some significant nods in that film too and we didn't notice them as kids.

Character tells a story and ends it by saying "And that's how I found out that there is no Santa Claus"

Violent Night is a bit of a mind fcuk as even though Santa is real in the movie the father of the main kid says that he isn't real and that they have been leaving presents instead of Santa at Christmas time because he doesn't exist. It's kind of left open that Santa only leaves presents to those who are on the nice list in which that kid's parents weren't on when they were kids.  Bit of explaining to do but then again young kids shouldn't be watching this film as it is quite violent as per the title. Hopper from Stranger Things is good as Santa.

No one who isn't at least a teen should be watching that film.

I'll never listen to the Bryan Adams Christmas song the same way again after the scene of Santa and his sledgehammer taking out that team of mercenaries!

I think there was an angle too that he only delivered to believers.

Fun film!

Oh, I  never picked up  on that , and I would have been  a believer when  I first seen it

Mrs Deagle always  scared me more than the gremlins did  as a youngster

Scrooged has to be up  there too. Have to stop and  watch the first two Home  Alone's too if they're on

Hard to look past Its a Wonderful Life for pure schmalz all the same

I loved it!
My older kids loved it too. Good fun but def not for the younger audience. Teenagers+

Yeah Miracle on 34th street plays very close to the line. I try to avoid it in our house.
Love the home alone movies, the first Nativity movie, Polar Express, Fred Claus, The Santa Clause.
Havent watched It's a wonderful life in years but might wheel it out.

Christmas Chronicles movies on Netflix are actually good too.
There's some new christmas movie with Eddie Murphy in it on Prime, by 6 year old has watched it about 4 times but I haven't seen it myself.

Took the kids ( adult kids lol) to the Avenue the other night to watch Home Alone

Place bunged, was like a talk-a-long

Stuck home today.  Watched two really nice horror flicks. 

Anything for Jackson, like Heritage with a sense of humor, really well acted, nice little story. 8/10

Sissy. Revenge thriller. Influencer/bully from past, Aussie flick. Really good. 7/10, would be higher except for some really poor decisions from characters given what you later learn about them.
