How in your right mind could you think snatch was shit?

What do you look for in a movie that snatch didn't have other than romance (and btw the big rabbit gets fucked)?

Carmen Stateside

Snatch one of my all time favourites !

i watched that film "Doubt" on DVD at the weekend there. Meryl Streep and Philip Seymore Hoffman (excuse my spelling)...

i really enjoyed it and would recomend it.  Two powerful performances which sort of leaves you to make up your own mind if the priest is guilty or not. anyone seen it?

True Romance
Interview with the Vampire
Spy Game
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

Snatch is good, as is Legends of the Fall, River Runs Through It, 7 Years in Tibet and even Meet Joe Black.

Snatch was pure drivel, as was Lock Stock. 8 out of 10 people I discuss this with completely disagree with me and I can't understand it. They would rate these films as all time favourites. Guy Ritcie makes chessy Brit gangster cringe material. I really hate them. Painful viewing in fact.

Well that's just not true.

Lock Stock was brilliant, far better than Snatch, though Snatch was quite good.

My biggest problem with it was it didn't leave you to draw your own conclusions. It's very clear who the directors/authors sympathies lie with, which I believe is not the case with the book.

I was flicking last night and caught the scene in American History X when Norton asks the black guy to stick his mouth on the pavement. One of those movie moments where I simply cannot look at the screen. Then the sickening crack and thud of bone and teeth. Savage stuff, great film though.
