I see new tickets have been issued for the Kildress Moy match. Small grumble on an already hungry Tyrone Co Board but I see it now means that we are being charged double header price for single match. Should they not have issued refunds and made new tickets available.

I also notice that there is no way of buying tickets at the moment for Friday night so if you hadnt bought a ticket before the postponement - your not going?

Maybe they will give the winners a reduced price or free admission game versus Clogher  ::)

Quote from: square_ball on September 26, 2023, 08:21:58 AMHopefully Stewartstown recover from that bad beating they got last night and don't go the way Strabane did this year.

They won't and will likely be back in Junior 2025.

Derrylaughan had began to rack up big scores in their last 2-3 league games, think even Kildress got a right hiding from them but it's always very difficult to come back from a championship hiding like last night.

The final I'd like to see is Clonoe v Pomeroy.

Ah I only said it in jest. Stewartstown are a solid Division 2 side and had a decent season considering they were on the go so late in the 2022 season. I'd be surprised if they ended up anywhere near junior for the foreseeable. They must have had a few injuries last night? I see Dan Lowe wasn't listed to start?

The bottom 3 in Division 2 this year were as bad as there's been for quite a while but it will be much tougher to stay up next year.

Be very suprised if any teams coming up from Junior stayed up in 2024, gap seems as big as I can ever recall. Stewartstown coming up were unlucky to go down in the first place following the covid reshuffle. Strabane lost one game in that junior league and went down this year with a stand alone win.
Fintona would stay up.
Strabanes problem is that, in Junior they had 40 odd men out training as they had a good chance of silverware, this year they were working of 15/20 as players didn't come out knowing it was a battle for safety rather than glory hunting.

I wouldn't be so sure. They're not a level about the other 2-3 teams kicking about the top of D3. Going from 3 to 2 is tough.  Fintona are a good D3 team at the min, but not exceptional by any grasp of the imagination.

Will the strabane glory hunters be back next season.

Of course they will. Any teams that really struggled in division 2 always come out in full force in division 3 because they know they have a serious chance of winning the thing. It's why it's the same teams that go up and down every year.

Eire90

do managenent not tell glory hunting players to f off.

Strong reports Errigal will be without Peter Og McCartan this weekend after he staved his thumb last night.

D3 is stronger now than last year i believe. Strabane could be there for awhile

Carrickmore have dispensed with Archie Beattie. I'm sure he feels very let down by the players but the writing was on the wall after the Loughmacrory defeat. I'd imagine our next manager will be from within the club

I thought it was free for u16's.

Got to feel for kildress tonight, can't have been easy playing after last week

The Fintona forward stole some amount of steps for that last free. Aghaloo only have themselves to blame though.
