I thought the right man won, it would have been an injustice if Hopkins had got the verdict based on the odd right hand and a lot of holding and headwork.

Hopkins deliberately stalled the action when he was on his last legs in the 10th as well.

Calzaghe is obviously not in his prime anymore, but he still does enough to win fights.

If Calzaghe can keep his cool then he should win on Saturday but it'll be a battle for him I think and will need to protect his chin as well.

Against Salem he lost his shape and got knocked down, and Bika roughed him up a lot too. If he avoids getting trapped in close, he should be able to outpoint Hopkins all being well.

I haven't seen much of Hopkins but you know he's going to be a canny operator in there.

It was blatantly obvious that they kept Jenny and Lucinda in purely for entertainment purposes, which undermines the ethos of the show.

Even Sugar's reasoning at the end just as he was firing Shazria was crap - basically Jenny 'You are useless and responsible for not managing your team' - Shazria - 'you left your post at some point - you're fired'.

O'Neill and Jennings must become proactive in the promotion of one all Ireland side, and not just talk the talk. With their profiles in the game they have important roles to play in this regard

I don't think you realise that they don't really give a shit - if asked about it they'll give their viewpoint, but it's no ones business to tell them to jump on a bandwagon that they're not bothered about.

If they had have been bothered they would have done this a while ago.

Rangers got away with it in the end last time, didn't they?

I don't know why Celtic fans can't grab the moral high ground and just not bother with these songs, who's impressed in the end up?

Must do, I'm a bit of a crisp addict.

Walkers Pickled Onion is the current fave, though nothing will beat the old Tudor Pickled Onion.

Presumably this is why the parents are happy for the kids to fire stones at the cars.

I thought he was funny when i was younger, but watched a few bits of his DVDs over Christmas for about 20 mins before i had to turn it off.  Not even slightly funny.

I'm a huge Billy Connolly fan but his last DVD was pretty weak I must say. Certainly by his standards.

Was that the actual 'Too Old to Die Young' DVD? My friend has it and said it was ropey - if he keeps mostly the same show then it's not great, but usually the material changes a little as he goes along.

I saw Eddie Izzard do his show after the DVD of the tour has already been released and while there was different stuff on it, there was a fair smattering of jokes you knew.

He's one of my all time favourites but with age and all that he is going downhill a little. I found his last shows he talks a lot more without the same laugh ratio.

However I did try the ticketmaster this morning and got 2 tickets for the Monday in the Waterfront - but at £43 including booking fee I decided it was too much - I'll stick to watching him on DVD in his heyday.

I think she's been hung out to dry a bit of the 11+ - she's gamely following the line of her boss Marty, but it still is unforgiveable to ditch something when you've nothing to replace it with.

I think that an ongoing shame is that people still think Dougal is the funniest character in the show. Ted is easily the funniest character, and Dermot Morgan played him fantastically - Dougal was essentially very simple to play, though Ardal O'Hanlon did a good job. But there was bit more going on with Ted, the average guy stuck in a job that called for standards of conduct he couldn't keep.

Dermot Morgan used to say to Ardal how it frustrated him that Dougal was seen as the funniest and most popular character, and I could understand this.

Still R.I.P Dermot - that money was just resting in your account. ;)

Heard Duddy was terrible on Saturday despite getting a win. He really is a journeyman who has managed to get himself a career above his station, based on NY's fondness of the Irish, and the fact he seems a decent spud.

The Taylor - Pavlik rematch should be a good one, though rematches seldom live up to the billing, particularly when one was pretty convincingly stopped the last time. However, Pavlik was nearly stopped in the second round last time and might be susceptible in the early rounds again. If Taylor learns to duck away from Pavlik's right hand, he could get a decision too.

Pavlik isn't fancy but he is strong as an ox - he's the favourite and rightly so, but if I had to stick a pound down I'd go for Taylor in an upset.

Just for reference, McPhelimy was quoted as saying it wasn't loyalists in the latest edition of that fine rag, South Belfast News.

I'll let you all get stuck into each other now :P
