Saw Black Mass at the weekend, worth a watch, Johny Depp deserving of the plaudits in this one, tense thriller right the way thru.

Streamed bridge of spies the other night. Very glad I didn't pay to watch it in the cinema!

6/10 for me.

DVD quality or ropey camcorder?

Decent stream but not quite DVD quality haha

watched a wee indie movie the other night when i couldn't sleep called Mississippi Grind, pretty random but for some reason i really enjoyed it, ben Mendolson and Ryan Reynolds worked well together, worth a watch.

Kermode on the BBC gave it a great review. Mendehlson is a brilliant actor.

Last night I watched All Is Lost.  Great performance by Robert Redford. Like a modern take on The Old Man and the Sea.

Saw Creed tonight. Great show. A fresh take on the Rocky saga but some nice echoes of the old films too.

Have you seen Southpaw yet? Very good I thought.
Must give Creed a watch soon. Did it have the Rocky music? I'll be very disappointed if it doesn't.!
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Watched Glory again late last night. Some film. Scene at the end where the regiment approaches the beach very powerful.

Saw the new National Lampoons vacation movie last week. Okish. Not a patch (understandably) on the originals.

An absolutely brilliant film. Denzel was amazing even back then.

It's a great film. You say this about Miller's Crossing and have The Jackal in your top films  :o Richard Gere as Declan Mulqueen  :o :o :o

The original or the one with Gere? The original film with James Fox is a classic in fairness.... not in my top 20 but still a decent film and very much of it's day
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

+1

He won an oscar for that role. It started my life long love affair with Denzel.
