Aye!! Traffic light disco ffs!! Some craic all the same.

Larry's piano bar used to be the spot for the later drinks. Think that was before Thompson's garage days.

And BCB is accused of being a snob for eating Fajitas...

Did any of you students stay the weekends? Vico's was the spot on a Saturday and the limelight on a Friday night early to mid 90's, cracking tunes and the staff didn't annoy anyone.

The Duke of York upstairs on a Friday was decent too

Where was vicos? I remember the name but can't remember if I was in it.
Stayed up the odd time just as had a job back home.
Shine the odd time. Was in Duke of York one weekend and it was rough so didn't go back.
The weekend nightlife round home was good so I generally always went home.

The back of Robinsons Vico's had 3/4 floors with different tunes going on in each floor, with a guy serving free pizza downstairs, quality set up. Brunswick street

Ah yes. Was it renamed La-Lea at some point? Had a few good nights in there to be fair.
Think i remember a toilet cubicle with no lights in the corner of a dance floor. Or I could be imagining it.

It was, the foreign students loved it....I tended to make the odd trip in  ;)

I think the name is deceptive there lol. A boy in our class fell asleep in the toilets and they closed for the night. He woke up in the middle of the night and set the alarms off. Traffic light disco used to be Tuesday Bob Cratchett's in my time.

No I think La Lea started off as Franklin's Gate or something. Vico's I think was round the back of Fibber Magee's where the Joxer etc. used to be.

Anyone remember the Chicago Pizza Pie Factory. Probably the first time I had seen a cocktail!

I have all these hazy memories of nights out in places without really knowing where it was at.
I know i was in Vicos and La-Lea and in my head it was the same place, but I did spend about 7 drunken years around Belfast and can't remember the half of it!
Don't remember Franklin's gate.

quit yo jibbajabba

Have a decent recollection of most the pub names i was in in Belfast oer the years, worked in Dublin for 18mths a good while back and im fcuked if i can remember any of the pub names. With Copperface Jacks being the honourable exception 😉😃

Jeepers Creepers

Vicos now James street south restaurant
La Lea then Franklin Gate is now Rita's Bars downstairs and 'The Perch' upstairs.

Aaaaaah... The Menagerie  ;D ;D ;D

Some spot.

http://www.ship-of-fools.com/mystery/2004/855.html

It was some dive!
I remember being in the gents and the electricity went off. We were all left standing in a delicate position in pitch black darkness. No emergency lights at all.
Try to retrace your steps out of a toilet without feeling your way out when you're pissed! lol

Taylor

Oli McBurnie from Sheff Utd caught on camera smashing a phone and giving what turned out to be a 15 year old a few slaps.

Another video shows the young lad giving him abuse beforehand.

Hard to justify his behaviour given his profession but then again it doesnt give the public free reign to say as they please.

I doubt if the kid would have said it to a regular person on the street without similar or worse happpening
