Still hearing reports that Damien Cassidy is linked with the Carrickmore position and although Clonoe lads dont expect him to go anywhere there are a few of the squad in limbo!  Surely Cassidy wudnt take the Carmen job.  Clonoe lads have give him everything he asked for

question maybe is whether cassidy could get more out of the panel available in carmen compared to clonoe.

also would cassidy's polite manner be accepted around carmen?

Cassidy would be a fool to head to Carrickmore at this stage as indeed would it be foolish of Carrickmore to take him. It would add unwanted attention to the Carmen cause.

If the rumour mill is correct round Carmen then Tally is the hot favourite with 2 recently retired players. All very inexpereinced to management at this level perhaps? A good trainer doesnt necessarily make a good manager and really recently retired lads dont have the knowledge in my opinion! time will tell i suppose. And before anyone comes on shouting about Monroe being player manager a few years ago, well those players all had a handfull of medals before he stepped in.
Long time follower first time poster!! The rumour mill is wrong as usual, there has been a short list of managers done up before xmass an Damien was NOT on that list, he will not be manager of Carmen for 2012, Paddy was approached an he is very interested but he can't commit to march so thats sort of up in the air, it was talked about two past players taking over till Paddy can commit, but the attentions  been on a Fermanagh man an there in talks at the min!

Fantasy Rugby World Cup Champion 2011,
Fantasy 6 Nations Champion 2014

Aaron Boone

It'll be a tough year for Carrickmore and Dromore this year.
Win the requisite number of games to stay in div 1 and then only the championship only to play for. If either go out in round 1, that'll be it to 2013.

Liam Grogan for Omaigh, Martin Penrose for Carrickmore

Its hard to understand where or how Cassidy's name became connected to Carrickmore. He was never on Carrickmore's radar and he made it clear by his plans for the incoming season that he wasn't considering anything else other than Clonoe. I think we can safely assume that the rumor mill has taken on a life of its own.

Thanks for clearing that up Damian. :D

One New Face for Tyrone v Queens

The long wait for a return to inter county football is almost over.  Mickey has named a new look  Tyrone team to take on Queens who are probably the strongest of the University sides in this years competition.  Urney's Johnny Lafferty makes his first appearance in a Tyrone Senior team while Peter Harte moves to centre half back.  The word is that Stephen O'Neill has picked up a hand injury and isn't available for this game.

Is Niall McKenna injured?

It would hardly makes much sense not letting a player play for his university, especially with their ongoing preparation for the Sigerson Cup, and in turn not naming him the starting Tyrone team ::)
