The Infiltrator is very good. New Star Trek movie middling enough.

Tony Baloney

Watched Ghostbusters and Midnight Special at the weekend. Ghostbusters was slightly better than I thought it would be - 7/10 and Midnight Special was a decent watch too although was slightly ruined by my son asking questions every 5 minutes - 8/10.

How true is this? I realise there is a bit of Hollywood involved, but how much?

If there is even 25% of the truth involved, then the way these men were treated is beyond shameful.

It's a pretty accurate account of what happened, Muppet.

Declan Power's book

Thanks for that link. Just bought the book.

It's a vanilla historical account of that battle, no need to even hint at a watering down in order that it be more accurate.

Watched Mud before so watched Shotgun Stories last night which was also brilliant, so going to try and get through all the Jeff Nichols films so going for Take Shelter and Midnight Special next.

Watched the girl on the train the other night... worth a watch but nothing overly special. Not the most gripping thriller but still good

I thought it was f**king terrible. Book is meant to be a decent page turner but I was flat out bored with the movie.

Seen the 'accountant ' and have to say it was well worth the entry fee, good plot and a few turns, very enjoyable 8/10

The book is poor enough too.  Trying to be Patricia Highsmith and failing miserably.

I really enjoyed it .... I think black comedy is farrells forte

Looking forward to fantastic beasts and where to find them ..

Usually this time of year onwards you get the films that are Oscar contenders , last yr Leo and the revenant was already a dead cert but not sure this year .. Some talk around Martin Scorsese's silence
I'm trying to decide on a really meaningful message..

Sing Street

enjoyable

Saw it there at the weekend. Wasn't impressed by it at all.

Watched Where Eagles Dare again there recently. Still cannot work out all the doublecrossing etc and why the Germans were hellbent on running into Clint Eastwood's gunfire. Excellent stuff all the same.

Kellys Heroes and its remake Three Kings rewatched again. Brilliant stuff altogether.

Watched Lights Out. Average.

Also Sausage Party which is mental.
