Listen ye might not like to hear this but in my opinion there is a significant element of tramps among the Tyrone and Armagh support and I base that on what I've seen over almost 30 years following football. Its time Tyrone and Armagh co boards took some responsibility and take some sort of action before someone gets seriously hurt.

And Fearon, what are train authorities supposed to do? Leave all these drunk people to fights on the train station. Perhaps they should refuse to put on trains for Tyrone and Armagh games in future.

Absolutely true. I'll never forget a crowd of clowns in kingspan blue on the terrace in clones singing "I'd rather be a Euro than a pound", "go back to your queen", etc etc.

This is very poor. Football is my game but you'd have to say it's becoming increasingly difficult to watch. It's the best game in the world when played right but pulling 13/14 players back is a busted flush so why Monaghan, Tyrone and many others continue to do it is beyond me. Put at least 4 forwards up and you have a chance, playing 6 up is actually the way to go but teams aren't prepared to do it anymore.

There were many occasions in the Dublin Monaghan game where Dublin had 13 or 14 players back in their own half.

Nobody is playing as defensive as Tyrone and they are awful to watch. There is another thread named 'hurling puts football in the shade' and there was a time I would have strongly disagreed however, it's increasingly difficult to say football is a good spectacle. Nobody is playing traditionally anymore but Kerry and Dublin certainly play more conventional than Tyrone.

So Dublin will beat us with our horrible approach and natural footballing order will be restored and all will be right in the footballing world once again, where Dublin put up customary cricket scores against traditionally organised opposition!

Average score in the championship has been 24 points. But sure we're just a boring defensive team...

I was there and I've never known excitement like it. Was a nervous wreck through the whole second half. And the joy/relief when the winner went over and the final whistle blew - no words. Over the moon for Joe too. There was plenty of sloppiness but that just added to the tension and drama.

Football is a great game, but obviously the massive gap between the top few and the rest is causing some dull games.

Off the top of my head I'm thinking of canavan free v Armagh 05, cluxton v Kerry 2011, coc miss in last year's final...
And the gap is worse in hurling. It's that bad that half the counties in the country don't even bother entering.

I think so. Think it's just the finals that the children have to pay full whack.

Is it just me or does Hurling always seem to be higher up the bill. Even on weeks when we had football classics they always begin with hurling.

Wrong, playing games is an outdoor hobby, watching outdoor sports is a hobby where 1 can choose to be covered and comfortable or uncovered and uncomfortable and pay accordingly.

Tyrone have no right to be in that group before Mayo. There's Dublin and then there's three teams a good step after them, nearer the rest than Dublin.

Mayo were beat by Galway, then struggled against Derry, Clare and Roscommon. Of course Tyrone have more of a right to be there over Mayo.

How many times have Tyrone beat Mayo in the championship since Dublin started dominating? Actually, how many times have Tyrone made the final since then? This sport is about what you do, not what you might do. Unless Tyrone shock the island and beat Dublin they will have done little to eclipse what Mayo have done in the last five or six years.

Its not about the last 5 or 6 years. You can't claim they are better than Tyrone at the minute off the back of past achievements. How far back do you go? Let's start at 2003 sure....
