GAA Discussion / Re: Ungrateful FAI Delaney
January 19, 2010, 04:51:17 PM
Delaney embarassed our country with his whinging after the Henry incident . He has some cheektaking a cheap shot like that at the GAA. If he was unhappy with the original agreement, why di d the simpleton agree to it? Also, the GAA may have received 1.3m per game or whatever but the FAI sold an extra 30000 seats for France, Italy games and consequently they were quids in as well.

Yes, Holmes or Fay were in a different league. God its even worse than I thought, ye only beat Laois and wound up with 3 All-Stars, what in the name of god were the selectors thinking about. Micko had the fear of the man above in them. If ye got to a Leinster final you lot would have got about ten on that basis.

Davy Dalton was an awesome full back u clown

he plays for trinity college and lives nearby.players dont get poached,he could have said no.parnells sponsor jersey and let trinity college use their facilities in artane.

He only moved to Dublin cos Parnells paid his fees and his accomodation. That is poaching u plank.

Yes, I have some thoughts on the matter. Kildare need to sort out the full back line. All 3 incuments are good footballers but we have a great full back on the bench in Kevin ONeill and he should start. But yes I agree, Tyrone are the betterside and swhould have too much as long as the focus is there. Wonder will it be part of a double header next sunday with Cork VF Donegal?

How does Micko get away with not making any subs? Huge flaw.

Niall Buckley was best allround player from 97-99 in my opinion. He must be considered on any selection.

Agree that Geraghty was a vastly superior player to either Forde or O'Brien. Barden doesnt come close and should not be on this team. I'd like to know who compiled the categories, Eugene mcGhee have an input maybe as a Longford man. The no.12 spot was particularly weak, you could have had Early or Buckley from Kildare, Geraghty, Alan Brogan, Vinny Claffet or indeed O'Brien if u so wished. (Look how they accomadated some of the guys on the hurling team-and rightly so).

Fair enough, a lot of wides yesterday but made for an exciting game. Having seen the Dublin no.11 in Tullamore, I was again impressed yesterday. The small no.4 did a lot of damage as well when coming forward. Delighted the replay is in Carlow, will be a big support from south of the county(there always is) and a nice tightknit venue.
