Chaos in the race to follow Laois out of the basement.

Good win for Longford today.

4 teams on 6 points.

Div 4 hotting up.

We has a less than convincing win over London but still 2 points.

For Longford it's really down to next week's game at home to Leitrim. Win and we have a solid shout of being in the mix. Lose or draw and it's curtains.

Smart money will be on Leitrim. We have been very unconvincing so far.

General discussion / E-SIM for travel outside EU
February 24, 2024, 03:08:10 PM
Folks

Doing a bit of travel soon outside the EU and in the past have used a local SIM in an unlocked Iphone for date and hotspotting.

However a better solution would be to get an E-Sim which can be used on my 'real' phone for date/google maps/WhatsApp calls etc.

Anyone used these and recommend or is the local country SIM in the second unlocked phone a better bet?

Quote from: Tony Baloney on February 21, 2024, 01:54:05 PMFinished Mr and Mrs Smith last night. Started off decent but I had lost interest by last couple of episodes.

Same here.

As for True Detective Season 4. What a complete pile of polar bear poo.

We laboured to a 3 pt win in dire conditions. A game to forget really. Late switch to Ballygunnar grounds. How in the name of f**k can a club as famous as Ballygunnar not have a stand?

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has died at the Arctic prison colony where he was serving a 19-year-term, Russia's federal penitentiary service said in a statement.

"Navalny felt bad after a walk, almost immediately losing consciousness. Medical staff arrived immediately and an ambulance team was called.

"Resuscitation measures were carried out which did not yield positive results. Paramedics confirmed the death of the convict.

"The causes of death are being established," the statement said.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia's penitentiary service was making all checks regarding Navalny's death, but that he had no information about the matter.

Quelle suprise. Had to do something else due to the lack of hotel windows in prison.

Off to Waterford to be a spectator for the first time tomorrow.

The last time I was in Waterford for a match was Feile na nGael in 1977 when we got hockeyed in all matches we played in.

We were all 10/11 in an U14 hurling competition.

That said, we were treated like royalty as the first Longford hurlers to attend this august competition.

Handy win for Longford?
