At least fergie isn't scrapin around trying to sell bad footballers out of the back of a three wheel van in order to fund another waste of cash splash on the next jermaine pennant

Sure he must have learned his lessons by now following such great buys such as Djemba Djemba,Kleberson,Massimo Taibi and Diego Forlan

Hmmmm. Will this be a 'right' or a 'wrong'? What now for Rooney and Tevez? Will Berbatov play up front, and Rooney just off him?

What chances Spuds now selling Keane to Liverpool? Surely they won't get rid of both their strikers in 1 summer?

Good signing for United, assuming it is completed. He reminds me a bit of Sheringham, although I'm not sure if he has Sheringham's creative abilities. Good target man and will get plenty of goals in a team like United.

United's more recent set up with a front three means that there is more flexability with the use ow their forwards. ronaldo, rooney and tevez are all capbale of playing in all three positions. berbatov is different though. he can only play central and his lack of cutting edge pace will probably mean he'll more often than not ply in a two, with rooney or tevez off him. if saha goes, i think there'll be another striker or an attacking midfielder signed too as united were essentially operating with a striker short last year, even when saha was fit. a squad capable of challenging on al fronts again needs 4 quality strikers. tevez, rooney, berbatov and one other?

Genuinely dont think Berbatov will suit the style of play.
The speed which is a features of most of the attacks isnt Berbatov's strong point.
He is a little bit of a lazy fcuker as well who does his fair bit of sulking if things arent going his way. I know Ronaldo is another sulker but at least he has the pace to suit the rest of our attack.

Maybe Fergie is thinking of Berbatov for Europe when it is more difficult to break down foreign defences or when there is one up front. He would be good enough to hold the ball up

I too would have some concerns about Berbatov but I had the same or more when they signed Cantona and look what happened there! The money quoted is just ridiculous but it seems to be the same for every player these days.

As ridiculous as it might seem i would see berbatov as the "plan b" man. i don't see him starting most games. he is also a physical presence in the box, which adds something united lacked badly last season.

Did any of youse see the shape of Rooney against Aberdeen, he must be on the kebabs again.

If that happened the moody f**ker would hardly play at all.

He'd end up at portsmouth so!
