Not a whole lot to look at when you see the matchday squad. Partey the stupid ballix with that yellow. Merino had been finding a good groove up front and Partey was allowing Rice that forward freedom. Nwari lively enough but apart from that we're tapped out.

Individual quality from PSG a level above Arsenal tonight. Enrique has done some job with them.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

An extremely annoying fan base.
SHOCKING REVELATIONS!!!

Highbury use to have that loud screaming behind the goal also I wonder if its the same supporters?
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

All I could hear was the PSG fans. Biggest game since 2006 and needed multiple players to wave the arms around to get the crowd to make any noise.

PSG played well tonight but couldn't finish the job. Arsenal just won in Madrid a few weeks ago so not over yet but will be a difficult task

You'd think PSG will score at least once at home so Arsenal will probably need to score at least 3 which I just done see happening.
Maybe they get an early goal and put 11 behind the ball hoping for penalties though.
Tomorrow is not guaranteed

Thoughts on the year?

If you look at the league table, it appears that scoring hurt them.

Best defence by far stats-wise, but alongside Brentford, Brighton and even Spurs for goals scored.

Is it that simple?

You'd imagine a big clear out (Tierney/Jorginho/Sterling/Jesus(?) and others) but does it also mean brave decisions on upgrades on others such as Martinelli, Partey, even Odegaard?

Lack of goals and 14 draws. A better goal scoring threat is going to turn 3 or 4 of those into a win and the league wouldn't have been over a few weeks ago.

The goalscoring issue is obvious. But then again the most serious injuries happened in attack, Saka, Odegaard, Jesus and Havertz with Martinelli also out for a period. Throw into the mix Gabriel's injury as well as Califori, no Tomiyasu all season and Ben White going under the knife plus the ridiculous red cards it's a miracle Arsenal finished second and shows what a good coach Arteta is.

Wouldn't say it was a miracle given how poor everyone outside of Liverpool were. While they had their injury problems they were able to put out a strong 11 most weeks.  71 points for third place is a low total and Newcastle even tried their best not to get a champions league position on last day.

Jesus staying.. Tierney, Tavares, Jorginho, Lokonga, Sterling and Neto all confirmed going.

I would say been a good year, disappointing no silverware however. Showed how thin the squad is we need about 5/6 players to improve the team/squad depth.

Zumbimendi confirmed joining then need a Striker (Sesko/Gyokeres one of those looks likely). Also a good chance Rodrygo joins from Real Madrid €75m would be a huge improvement over Martinelli.

Need 2 more midfielders after the above, a right back and a back up GK.

Would like to see a change of style next year been very boring watch this year, drop Odegaard and play Havertz in the 10 with a ST ahead. Be tough next year Liverpool are going to be very strong if Wirtz lives up to the potential

A strong 11 but two youth players ended up playing a lot of games. A bench full of youth also so a first 11 stretched way too much with very little options for rotation and substitutions. Timber playing injured and now also needing an operation, a midfielder being played as a striker for first time in his life.
