ZX Spectrum was a computer when computers really were computers!!!

Click on the link and be amazed at the amazing graphics/gameplay that kept me occupied for hours when I was about 7 or 8.

me and my cousin sat for 8 hours programming/typing in a game from one of the mags when we were young. when we hit return at the end, expecting a great game, we were so disappointed we never played the ZX again

We didn't have a spectrum
Our first computer / game console of any description arrived in early 90's

30 mins of trying to get the game uploaded from tape player.
Then fighting over who's turn it was next.
Good old spectrum ! those were the (winter/rainy) days

The Amstrad 464 was the one I had,I spent hours playing games like Wonderboy and Paperboy
You can download emulators and game roms for all these old consoles and computers.

raid over moscow on the commodore 64 was brilliant

loved sabrewulf or zzoom on spectrum 64
other good computers for games were the dragon 64 , bbc micro, vic 20, oric

We upgraded to the Spectrum +3 that you could use disks in after many years of loading games with the tape player! Great memories!!
