Post by: hows she cutting on June 22, 2008, 05:17:19 PM
Going for a week in middle of July.

Anyone been and have any tips on what to do or see?

Going to Pisa for two days and Florence for 2 days with 3 days open for suggestions.

Cheers

Carlsberg dont do holidays, but if they did it would be Tuscany. Try to get a trip down round Lake Como. Sienna and Assissi also highly recommended. Be careful in Pisa, high incidence of pick pocketing and drive by Scooter snatches. Also as usual you will eat and drink much cheaper and better away from tourist areas, just follow the locals

Pisa is pretty quiet. Didnt see a whole lot except for the tower and even 10 mins is enough around it.
Florence much more pleasant. Duomo is worth climbing, Michael Angelos David also worth a look.
Lonely Planet guide book usually near enough for restaurants and sights. Sienna if you get a chance also worth a trip!!
