Title: Dublin Fingal
Post by: Craigyhill Terror on May 04, 2008, 10:06:56 PM
Could any of the Dubs shed some light on the second Dublin team playing in the Nicky Rackard this year.
Is the team based on geography or is it junior club players? Would they have a decent chance in the Rackard?

they won't have anyone who's on the dublin hurling panel. largely shcb, intermediate and junior clubs from that region. They are reasonably handy, but i don't think they'll win it, could do a fair bit of damage in it though. traditionally the weakest province in dublin, this is an effort to promote the game there more extensively and it seems to eb working.

Yea fingal would be traditionallly football country, think this is a great opportunity for lads from those clubs to play inter-county. A lot of clubs in the area are investing more time in hurling these last few years so this can only help promote the game.
