Hi, there is a football version of this running on the other forum. The criteria is pick the province you come from, but you must have seen the players live in the flesh, not just on TV. That basically puts my timeframe from 1981- today.

Fitzhenry, Damien Martin and the great Jim Troy were options.
I think Daithi would be manager, because he seems to know everything about the game!!!! ::)
(Although I hate to say it, he does seem to have a point with Joe though).

Yeah, he would have been there as well lads, but Skehan was a great keeper as well, even if his physique was a little on the well-wintered side, not unlike Jim Troy, or big Niall Patterson. Michael Walsh was the son of another great goalie, Ollie.
What's yer Ulster selection. I presume Cloot would be in there? Sambo? Ciaran Barr? Any Down lads? McGrattan?
Noel Keith would a in goals, best keeper i have seen in Ulster,probably Noel Sands too. Mc Grattan had that great year in 92 but was plagued by injuries. I suppose Danny Hughes would be another Down man to make it. Cloot was the best i have seen in Ulster followed by Leonard Mc Keegan of Cushendall

Not too bad IMO there skull, but I've never seen Mark Barr play. From my POV I don't know who I'd put in there instead of him as I can't think of any really outstand fullbacks over that period. The only ones I can think of are hippy Donnelly and Ger Coulter and neither were outstanding. I've always rated James McNaughton very highly and I'd be inclined to include him at the expense of his fellow clubmate Leonard McKeegan.
James was good but you couldnt have an "Ulster Select" without Leonard Mc Keegan.
like him or not but big Ger Rogan played well enough at full back for Rossa
