We hope not but its all about getting the levels of hunger and intensity correct. After a very long layoff Kerry may find it hard to get into their quarter final which is a big worry.
From a Kerry point of view Derry ,Monaghan or Meath . They will all be tough . Tyrone Meath ,Cork / I expect that they will want to get their Neighbours. For the Super Dubs I think it will be Meath again .

Meath and Dublin
Tyrone and Derry
Monaghan and Kerry
Cork and Sligo
that's my guess - but i'd say they've already been picked at this stage ?

Oakleaf - I think we'll meet -
They are the last few quotes on the other thread.
What is a quater final? I think you messed this thread up also

New thread because I messed up the last one.
Are you
Quatermass or something?
I think a quater means from someone being a quat.
The draw will be
Tyrone v Derry
Sligo v Cork
Dublin v Cork
Kerry v Meath

;D
And people say the GAA want the Dub's to win
I think the draw will be:
Tyrone v Derry
Sligo v Cork
Dublin v Monaghan
Kerry v Meath
But I'd prefer the draw to be:
Tyrone v Cork
Sligo v Derry
Dublin v Monaghan
Kerry v Meath
1) Tyrone Cork should be a cracker
2) Derry should pip plucky wee Sligo
3) Monaghan wont fear the Dubs like the Leinster teams did this year
4) Hopefully Meath would kick lumps out of Kerry
I'm really looking forward to quarter finals. Much more exciting than the hurling.
Please let it be Dublin for us.
Sligo-Cork
Tyrone-Derry
Kerry-Monaghan
Meath-Monaghan and Sligo-Derry in the semis. Things are in transition. :)

Transition!?... Meltdown more like! ;) :P
Would some one post the draw on here when it happens thanks :-*
It should be in about 10 minutes time.
It sure feels good to be in it.
:o :o :o getting excited
me three
Sligo v Cork, lovely.... >:(
Tyrone v Meath
Dublin v Derry
Kerry v Monaghan
sligo v tyrone v meath dublin v derry kerry v monaghan
cork
Finally revenge for 96 ;)
yea right tohill! is it not sligo v cork and tyrone v meath next saturday in croker?
Meath v Cork
Kerry v Derry
In semi finals IMHO ;)
And revenge for '05 in our case. Good to hear the langers were cheering, arrogant shower. We'll see how things go.
One thing worth noting perhaps - call me cynical, but the four provincial teams came out in the order of their ties, i.e. Sligo on first next Sat, Kerry last on Sun 12th, and both teams who won last night have got oppostion who allow them the extra week, we're left with Cork and Tyrone with Meath, both having had their break. Fix, hardly...
worst possible draw for sligo.
the dogs in the street knew that these would be the 1/4 final pairings.

Meeting tomorrow to decide times and venues.
Sure that's all decided, we're on at 2:00 next Saturday, Tyrone after that.
Dublin v Derry looks set for Clones I'd say. :P
owenmoresider,
very interesting point. could have some credibility

Anthony goes for Kerry,Dublin,Cork and says Tyrone v Meath is "in the balance".
Why would it be in the balance, surely tyrone would be favourites, on the other hand i wouldnt be that confident

Ye'll do well to get a free off the ref, never mind get the Dubs out of their home!
From the GAA site:
Is this subject to change or fixed in sod?
4th
Bank of Ireland Football Championship Quarter Finals (2)
Sligo v Qualifier
Tyrone v Qualifier
11th:
Bank of Ireland Football Championship Quarter Finals
Baile Átha Cliath v Round 3 Winner
12th:
Bank of Ireland Football Championship Quarter Finals
Ciarraí v Round 3 Winner
Our tickets are already out here for next Saturday, Tyrone on the bill too, so that's it tied up.
Tickets haven't arrived on Tyrone yet, but I've seen the tickets in Sligo. The match is scheduled for Sunday 4th August.
Interesting draw, I was hoping Sligo would get Cork as at this moment in time I dont think it is beyond them to beat Cork. Dubs and Derry, hard to call, Kerry will beat Monaghan and then Tyrone and Meath, another hard one but I'd go for Meath.
Meath will hardly beat Tyrone. Sligo could do Cork while Derry could do Dublin if it's reffed fairly instead of under the "Dublin needs and All Ireland and the GAA needs Dublin" rules. :P
It would be lovely to see Monaghan beat the Kingdom but I doubt it.
However if Kerry are tired/lacking hunger etc the ferocious work rate of the Farneys might just be too much for them. Remember Kildare 1998 putting Kerry out?

That's the point I'm making Fear, Croke Park must be giving Sligo dodgy tickets ;)

I see :D
It has to be set in stone. Theyve been selling tickets on ticketmaster and are out in Sligo. Antim v Wicklow 12.15, sligo cork at 2 and tyrone meath at 4. Cant see any reason to change that at this stage.
Bookies odds for the quarter-finals (draw odds in brackets in the middle)
PP: 1/6 Cork (10/1) Sligo 5/1
Lad: 1/6 Cork (12/1) Sligo 5/1
PP: 2/5 Tyrone (15/2) Meath 5/2
Lad: 1/2 Tyrone (13/2) Meath 9/4
PP: 1/3 Dublin (15/2) Derry 3/1
Lad: 4/9 Dublin (7/1) Derry 12/5
PP: 1/6 Kerry (10/1) Monaghan 5/1
Lad: 1/5 Kerry (10/1) Monaghan 9/2

That Kildare side were a lot more proven than Monaghan, they had knocked out the 95 AI Champions and the 96 AI champions prior to that Kerry game...
Tough game for Dublin but any of the 4 would have been equally tough IMO.
Nice to see the Derry lads blaming the ref already 2 weeks before the game :D

Our home?? I though we dont own Croke park, sure dont ye keep reminding us of that ;)
To be fair there is a stigma attached to referees decisions at big Dublin matches, we all say that ah sure they want croker filled. Which in one sense you can't really agrue that point. But the has to be a serious amount of pressure put on the Ref, especially at a capacity ground at croker, the all o hill 16 shoutin at him.
The best man for the job on the 11th, in my opinion is your man McAneney, true he may be from Ulster but i don't think anyone can argue that he isn't one of the best, if not the best man for the job!
Bump! ;D
