Title: Dublin airport parking
Post by: Donagh on June 26, 2007, 09:47:40 AM
Seem to remember a thread here before. Anyone know the best deals for a two week stay?

You could check if parking is still free at the Travelodge down the road near Swords. It used to be and they even had a free shuttle bus. That was two years ago, though. I'd be surprised if they haven't clamped (sorry) down on it by now. Worth a check, though.

Yeah, ive parked there a couple of times. It a good service. The long term car park in the Airport is not that secure, there are a lot of break ins and i saw a golf put up on blocks there too.

This car park is 1 euro a day cheaper than the Airport car parks, buses run every few minutes and security seems ok.

Emailed them this morning and still waiting on a reply. Would you be guaranteed a spot if you just turn up

Quickpark is full as often as not at the weekends but i have never seen it full Sunday evening to Friday morning.
Be careful what bus you get on to when going abck to it - twice i have got into the wrong bus to only end up in the main carpark. On 1 of these occassion i even went wandering around for a couple of minutes before i woke up  >:(

Anyone got any more ideas on parking at the airport or near hand?

Even any hotels that have deals with parking included and stay the night before?

I find this website good for getting parking - it pulls in from a few different parking options around the airport

Have to make  a (bus) stopover  in Dublin airport early morning , before another bus journey onwards

What's the situation like  in the airport early morning (roughly between 4 - 6.30 am) ?  Any dodgy characters about?  Safe spots to wait  with the kids?

Are there places  to eat /drink at that time?

That's peak time for departures in terminal 1. Plenty of people queuing for security, cafes open etc. Not sure how kids are at that hour though.

Would a taxi, return, cost this?  Cheaper to get a taxi and leave the car at the house?

How much is  charges for short stay car parking these  days?

Remember a few years back paying £3 or £4 for maybe 20 fecking minutes. Probably  doubled  it since

Did you try McCauslands beside it, used it the last few times and it's handy, and a bit cheaper

Sounds like they've all jumped on the bandwagon and bumped their prices up. just another price hike to deal with

Of course, McCauslands will relate their price to the airport price and they'll be full for another week or two anyway.
The prices in Dublin are caused by the closure of QuickPark.

Just booked the long stay yesterday actually and there was a difference of 4 quid between McCauslands and the long stay.
