All change again this year for Tipp . New Manager , Philly Ryan from Commercials . Conor Sweeney and Shane O`Connell retired . Have a feeling it could be another tough year ahead :-\
Longford Under new Manager should be in the mix, but with Mickey Quinn retired and Thomas Gallagher taking time out someone is going to have to steep up.
Two results. Wexford 2-24 London 2-6 Carlow 2-13 Tipperary 1-16
Longford 2-12 Limerick 1-15
A good game in terrible conditions.
Longford lucky to get a draw in the end having being 7 point up midway through first half.
Limerick prob rightly feel they left it behind but if they want to progress they need to tie their big galoot of a goalie to his posts as he was no use when he came out.
Result in the 2:30pm game. Tipperary 3-13 Longford 1-18. A two pointer two minutes added time wins it for Tipp.
Another entertaining game in more dreadful conditions. Tipp prob just about deserved it, but the Clare ref did us no favours in the end.
Long aul haul to Clonmel and back for Longford supporters but there were a few there. Not too bad for me coming from Dublin.
We have prob lost any chance of being in the mix-up for promotion now.

:o The last thing a Tipperary Football Supporter wants to see is a Clare man Refereeing a Tipp Football game ! Didn`t he give ye a free for claiming Tipp hadn`t 3 Players in the Longford Half when in fact Tipp had FOUR Players over the Half Way Line ! ! Longford Management Team hounding him didn`t help either I suppose . Anywho 3 Points from 4 is 3 more than I expected at this stage , absolutely delighted , Tipp could be in with a chance of promotion :D .
London a Point up on Wicklow at the moment coming up to Full Time Whistle ;) !
Oisin's not going to be in great form on this week's podcast!
London v Limerick - massive win for London last day out. Limerick should have enough though. Limerick by 5.
Wicklow v Longford - Hard game to call. But I reckon Wicklow might be better primed. Wicklow by 3.
Wexford v Carlow - Wexford are a team I reckon have the potential to be playing comfortably at a higher level. They seem to play attacking football and put up big scores. Expect them to win this game and get promoted. Wexford by 5.
Waterford v Tipperary - Tipp should have enough here despite a late rally from Waterford last week. Tipperary by 7.
Heading to Aughrim later. Thoughts and prayers!
A loss will means promotion is impossible so it will then become a time to experiment with fringe players.
Looks like a nice day for a game.
Fine two point win for London this evening against Tipp in Semple stadium.
While we had a dogged win over Waterford I am afraid it was a case of 2 bald men fighting over a comb.
Dire stuff.
Seems most of the Longford diehards are heading to Ruislip this coming weekend, inc myself. I think this is the Longford man way of being romantic to their other half.
"Fanchy a wake-end in London................"
Don't knock it!

Fine facilities in Ruislip. Well done to all over there keeping her lit.
A win is a win. Although at times it looked fanciful.
Promotion is out of reach but we can still challenge in the final 2 games. Away v Carlow and home v Wexford.
At least ye can't be relegated Sham ;D

Looking at the report London 0-8 to 0-1 ahead after 20 minutes then a strong finish to the half by Longford to make it 0-8 each at half time. By the 65th minute it was Longford 0-16 to 0-10 in front but a nervy finish as London scored 1-2 without reply.

LOL - there were times, esp in the Wicklow match, when I felt we belong in Div 5.

At least you would beat Kilkenny there, if sticks were not used.
Wexford 0-20 v 0-12 Wicklow I think that result means Wexford are promoted with two games to spare.

Are Wexford a team that could give the Tailteann a rattle?
Seem to put up big scores and play football the right way.

Should give it a rattle, from Div 4 Laois played in the final last year.

Would be great to see them competing again.
They had some decent teams from early 2000s to around 2012.
Could easily have won a Leinster title.
Well done to Wexford. A great GAA county. Off to Carlow later. It's 50:50. Our lack of a few 'big men' could cost us once more.
I hope you didn't go in the end Sham :-*
Did you go to Carlow Shamrock? Going by a post by LongfordGaaStats earlier in the week thats near enough a record defeat to Carlow.
I know there was nothing at stake and team is in transition but results have been poor although tight against Limerick & Tipp.
I havent seen any action this year but are there any green shoots or is that wishful thinking?

Longford are within 2 points of Limerick who are in the second promotion place. Anything is possible in the League on the last day.

I was there. The first half from Longford was as bad as I have ever seen. And I've seen lots. We have no big powerful men to take control. Carlow had 2 and they were able to waltz through our defence.
I don't see any green shoots. Not one.
This is a record loss to a Carlow side with internal strife.
Highlight was seeing Shane 'Cake' Curran on the line. Pity it wasn't closer with a few dubious decisions to vex him. It would be panto.
I presume the roars in the background on the radio commentary was Cake?

Quite likely but once the game was all but won he was quiet enough.

Always struggle for big men in central positions...first time in a few years I havent been to any games and slow bicycle race v Wicklow in 2 weeks not looking too appealling.
London v Carlow - London after a decent start to the league have stuttered in recent weeks. Carlow will have to much. Carlow by 3.
Longford v Wexford - Longford a bit like Leitrim have been embarrassingly bad for an all football county. Should be doing better. Wexford in flying from and should win by 7.
Limerick v Waterford - Limerick should secure promotion here with a win. Limerick by 9.
Tipperary v Wicklow - Wicklow should have enough to pull the win out of the bag here. Wicklow by 7.

South of the Bann is correct. We are in very bad shape and no longer have supporters except the the real die hards.
I think what we had yesterday was Wexford lite and, for long periods, it was a nice handy training session for them.
We face Wicklow in 2 week's time in the Leinster in Longford. Winners at home v The Dubs. Feck me.
No need for Dubs to pre-book train to Longford.
Oisin probably want to concentrating in Wicklow job than all the podcast dnd media gigs.
In limericks win over Waterford that sealed promotion James Naughton scored 4-12 (7fs, 1 2pf)
Half time Limerick 1-6 Wexford 0-6
Full time Limerick 3-11 Wexford 0-18
