Fourteen men have been arrested at the funeral of a dissident republican in Northern Ireland.
Michael Barr, 35, from Strabane in Co Tyrone, was shot dead in a Dublin bar last month.
He was hit up to three times when two gunmen burst into the Sunset House pub in the Summerhill area of the city and died at the scene.
Good enough... worse than pond scum that lot!!!!
What exactly are the offences that they'll be charged with? Is there an actual law prohibiting someone from wearing camouflaged clothing, a beret and a pair of aviators all at the one time?
Publicity stunt by the cops.
I hear the Gardai were getting in on the act stopping traffic in Donegal. I suppose it makes a change from their normal daily job of beating up water protesters.
f**k the dissidents, scum if the earth the lot of them.
More evidence of the daily routine of discrimination that Nationalists suffer from in the North.

Nothing the RUC like more than invading a funeral and beating up attendees.
Gardai have form in that regard as well.
How many Nationalists in the North take part in Dublin gang scumbaggery ?
What did they get arrested for - crimes against fashion?
God help anyone wearing a burka around Strabane today. They're bound to get lifted as well.

Would you also like figures on nationalists in the south and west? If they're neutral on the national question are they excluded from the stats?

That was my thought too. A friend of mine failed his MOT because "wife looks like Susan Boyle".

Burka would certainly come in handy there then.
I would say they were lifted to get finger prints and DNA samples seeing as they are a NEWLY form group of good looking chaps. This would leave it easy for the RUC to lift them in the future is they are being bad boys.
Lock them up. Vermin. No need for these gangsters on the streets. Criminals hiding behind a banner.

You forgot to attribute that quote to Lord Diplock. Scumbags they may be but the above is nonsense.

No debating the sentiment, but the word locally is that Mickey Barr's link to the Dublin gangs was tenuous. All rumours but there you have it.

There's a good free state attitude from Snoop. Lock them all in the north up just like the 70's and 80's.
They're all guilty I tell you.

The's guys have no support. Massive difference between now and the years of the troubles Are you one of their few supporters?
What is their overall aim?
It's not a free state attitude by me it's the attitude of a normal person.

Just pointing out "Normal" free staters had the same attitude in the 70's and 80's. Give the RUC the go ahead to do what they like.

No, the daily routine, North and South, is that people have funerals without mourners dressing up as paramilitaries. These funerals garner no attention from PSNI or GardaĆ.

If you want to deny evidence of discrimination that's your prerogative.
