As of now no actual results.  This thread so we can follow the election without having monitor each consistancy as some here seem  to like to do (not me).

One Ind, One SF, One FG and One FF so far. That's a fair representation of what's to come.

FF winning on early counts because they didn't have enough candidates.

That could be crucial as the counts progresses. If the effin' effers don't get elected on the first or second count in many constituencies, they will be stuck for transfers in later counts. I still expect FG to finish well ahead of FF when the dust settles; certainly the gap will be greater than most pundits are projecting.

Should there be a B Dáil for small parties like Labour,PBP and Independents leaving three main parties to try to cobble together a sustainable government

Yep, they've definitely missed a few seats because of that. On the same subject, did SF run one candidate too many in Donegal? Could cost them one that should have been safe.

If there did happen to be another election later in the year, these parties will have a lot of data to fine tune their strategies. FG would run a few candidates less, FF a few more and they would squeeze out some of the independents.

Independents would have funding issues if there's an Autumn election.
