I drive by this sorry mess 1 or 2 times a week, some people would seriously need to get a life, all the police costs must be at night time, as only 1 load of cops is there during the the day

are there toilets or anything I haven't seen yet? are they all sitting around in their band gear? I need to get the social services up there to see who's too busy to fulfil their obligations under jobseekers or who's on sickness benefit

some good news for portadown.. camp 'twaddle' have issued a statement saying they are going to "win" not like garvaghy. I sure the Portugese/bangladeshi speaking population of the tunnel in portadown will be relived if they even know about what went on.

Exact replica of Drumcree which petered out but took a long enough time to do so.

Once again extreme latitude shown to these campers.I'm sure if travellers pitched up in a similar location they'd be moved on in a couple of hours.

just see 2/3 older men (late 30/early 40`s) standing outside the site its self mostly each day, hard to make out toilet facilites as the fencing totally covered in flags and civil . orange rights banners! yeah i laughed at that one my self. The christmas weather of 2yrs ago would soon sort this sorry lot out

They appear to have a porta cabin on site. Surely that would require planning permission?

The site is owned by the Housing Executive. Journalists should get themselves up to Stormont and ask the Minister responsible for the HE what he plans to do about this. Somehow, I don't see Nelson demanding that the riot squad be sent in to shift them.

You know a lot of groups could learn from this approach. Perhaps if the Limerick Minor Hurlers had abandoned their hawkeye appeal and instead set up a couple of caravans and a porta cabin along Jones' Road they might have got to play in last Sunday's match

I don't think this approach has ever yielded results. I cant think of one example

There's still a token  march to the bottom of the hill each and every Sunday at Drumcree, more than 16 years since the last parade went down Garvaghy Road,so do not understimate the pig headed obstinacy that refuses to let it go.

Each and every Sunday. In fact one Sunday,a few years ago,the cops didn't show up to mount a token roadblock, and the brethren rang Portadown Police station demanding that they send a squad car pronto,to effectively mount a token roadblock! 100% gospel truth!

You'd think his missus could delay Sunday lunch for half an hour until Darryl got home

I love his wife's attitude. The Drumcree thing is obviously important to Darryl but it matters so little to the wife that she won't even move the Sunday dinner time over it

Not sure about the toilet facilities but the Orange banners must be their bog roll
