Can't say I even noticed watching the game. Just makes it even harder to tell the players apart. Besides some helmets become iconic and you's lose that. Brian Lohan and his red helmet. Conor Hayes and his gold one, etc.

See Seb Vettel has all his F1 mechanics/engineers on his helmet.

Would putting photos of Christy Ring, Jimmy Barry Murphy et al inspire them to play a little better. I'm sure they do not want the footballers getting all the plaudits.

Although an apostrophe and an s would be nice on the end of Cork.

Unless the plural word actually owns the subject. Then you can have an apostrophe and drop the second 's'. e.g. The Cork Players' new helmets.

Ah, what would we do without the aul' apostrophe?

AZ, you don't happen to be EG in disguise, do you? ;D
As for knocking sense into any sheepophile's skull, you should know you're bet before you begin.

You won't find punctuation in the dictionary, just the words.

As far as I know Ronan Curran's day job is the selling(& perhaps manufacturing) of hurling helmets so I presume that all the players wore those helmets to support his businessas a form of marketing.

I do remember that in the Tipp game a few weeks back that they all wore red helmets except Niall McCarthy had his white one on then.

McCarthy wore a red helmet http://www.sportsfile.com/id/522925/  Patrick Horgan was the only one not to have a red helmet as the one he was given was the wrong size. For subsequent games he used his blue helmet covered with red insulating tape

Someone who's used to American sports would find this mish-mash of different colour and different shape of helmets to be fierce unprofessional looking. Just saying.
