Folks - Have we any residents of the City by the Bay on here?
Reason being we're heading over that direction in August and I came across this festival that looks interesting http://www.sfoutsidelands.com/news/ (http://www.sfoutsidelands.com/news/).
On a scale I was wondering whether it was at the Oxegen side of things(younger drink fueled debauchery) or Electric Picnic (older more mellowed out debauchery).
I live in the area (used to live in the city but the long commute has exiled me back to the suburbs). Can't say I've ever been to this festival, never knew it was on. Never been to Oxygen or Electric Picnic either so I wouldn't know what to compare it to.
My advice to you is to go along and enjoy it, any festival I've ever been to in Golden Gate Park has always been good crack. I've been to manys a street festival in SF and the age range is fairly varied, you'll see youngsters running about as well as an older crowd. It can be hard to tell how old people are in California, they all look and act a bit younger anyway.

Electric Picnic Like the Lisdonvarna festival with Christy Moore et al.
Would this be a fair analogy?
Much like the music line up, it'll be fairly diverse...a bit of something for everyone.
Def worth a looksee if only for the visual of what SF is about.

Decent enough line-up
Line up looks decent that's why I was wondering about the age profile etc. Cheers Lads
