Title: Hurling coach for primary school in Belfast?
Post by: StGallsGAA on September 16, 2010, 06:50:32 PM
Lads I am on the PTA and the principal has asked us for £30 or £35 a week for a hurling coach to come in to the kids for 1 hour a week 3-4pm.

Is there no funding available for such a thing or other options?

Pay the £30 you tight gits! It will hardly cover the man's diesel driving down from the Glens.

Yes Ulster Council should be covering it. I know in Derry Kevin Hinphey does the hurling aroound Derry and Donegal, so there should be something similiar. Get onto Ulster Council and ask the question.
Obviously you boy is a chancer and probably isnt qualified to coach.

Get onto Antrim county board, surely to God they've got some full time coaches on their books by now!

Ulster Council will be appointing a number of primary school coaches over the next few weeks to go around the schools in each county.

Ulster council coaches go out to the schools in 6 week blocks i think - I know Dominic McKinley was in the local primary schools last school year, and the club were contacted numerous times by Casement to co-ordinate this happening.
