up since 6.45 waiting on delivery, well worth it.  Spending the rest of the day playing with my new laptop, trying to get everything back on my favourites list and requesting dozens of password reminders from various sites and forums.

By then it'll be time for a chinese

What about the chinese?

I spent the day in the big smoke with two of the children. Cinema, McDonalds, ToysRUs etc. Very stressful and made the amateur mistake of letting them sleep in the car on the way home so now there is no mission of getting them asleep. The wife is giving me faceache about it to as she wants to watch some chick flick - Ghosts of Girlfriends past. Anyone seen it?

The chinese was just ok, we tried a new one and it just wasnt as nice as the usual one.  The chips were good as where the chicken wing starters but the chicken in black bean sauce hadnt enough black bean sauce.

Pintsofguinness I used to get salt and chilli chicken wings out of my local chinese all the time, I loved them. BUT recently they have become extra spicy and I cannot handle them. In our house there used to be three portions ordered of them every week now none of us can eat them. I died a little to be honest. Must go and complain to them.

My old local chinese (best chinese I've ever ate in) does these salt and peppered chicken wings and they are....welll.....just the best!!! They also done creamy chicken rolls, which were basically spring rolls but with chicken and sweet corn inside, also to die for.
Where I now live there is about 4 chineses within a 200 yard walk (also two chippys within that distance and a kebab place) - I've tried them all now and there's none nearly as good as my old local one.  The chicken wings tonight were quite similar to the old ones but it was very small portion and as I say, not enough black bean sauce, service was also atrocious!
One of the chineses do a very very nice chicken in black bean sauce and while their salted and chillie chicken wings are nice they're just not to the standard I became accustomed to.

The local chinese at home does a great salt and chilli shredded chicken starter, also their chicken balls are excellent.  I dont know why but you don't really get chicken balls in chineses over here, one of them beside me does them but their black bean sauce was very very poor (you do get a fortune cookie from them though!).

There's really not, they can't do spuds, nor do they know what decent bacon and sausages taste like.

Spent the day working,my 6th saturday in a row...shouldn't complain really things were quite for long enough..
Came home and cleaned out the van, then cleaned the windows of the house..

Would have loved a Chinese tonight, but settled for some chips and southern fried chicken that I cooked myself..

Home made chips or frozen?

Watching MOTD now in bed. God the recession has hit me hard.

Just the frozen kind tonight Im afraid, its hard to get proper nice spuds in Dublin so I always get a bag when I'm down home but they were all gone unfortuanly so I couldn't make chips so I had to slum it with frozen..
I havent had a decent spud in months!
We'll post you a bag! Couldn't be without them. Surely there must be some decent spuds on sale in England. They aren't confined to Ireland.

There's really not, they can't do spuds, nor do they know what decent bacon and sausages taste like.

Well said! It's impossible to get adecent fry in England.

Decided to go for a few pints in a soccer club. Pissed off. Had a few drinks. Instead of getting slightly  drunk, I got an instant hangover. Head is banging :'(

It normally is in my house though I'm down to my last packet of bacon and denny sausages which I'll have to ration until Christmas.
I'm going to dip in to the supply this morning though.

My weekend started early, Wednesday. Went to see Kevin Smith in Dublin and ended up hanging out with him and his wife after the show. Brilliant!! ;D

Kevin Smith, incase you're wondering hardstation, is the writer, director of Zack and Miri ;)
