Im wondering has anyone any experience in building and/or running a club gym?
At the minute we are in the process of redeveloping club facilities and we are incorporating a gym, predominately for players but it may open to club members and the public.
What is the story and implications with insurance?
Is there someone working/supervising there all the time?
Has anyone any links or contacts on equipment?
Basically how do other GAA clubs with gyms run it?
I have been in contact with a number of parties all ready but I would welcome any advise from other clubs... Thanks! ;D
Check with / PM glenullinabu his club in Co. Derry have an excellent gym that was completed a few years ago and is open for both players and general public.
Any of the Ballinderry posters too as they have a gym open to the public.
Silverbridge in Armagh have one also. Pog should be able to help.
Podium for sport in Belfast provide an excellent service for supply & fitting of gym equipment & are hard to beat with prices, phone number is 02890701333.
