Post by: SuperSub on January 10, 2007, 12:02:06 PM

I think Cork are a real dark horse for the football next year, they have at least two of the best defenders in the country, a strong midfield and some real quality in the forwards, even if they are probably still a bit young. As for the hurlers, they should still be there  or there abouts - the double is not beyond the realms of possibility!

Yeah might be worth a bet...I actually think our hurlers will fall short this year the last few seasons are gonna catch up on them
Big talk down here in Munster that Tipp are going to be strong this year

In fairness I always liked the Cork women.  They were rebellious.

I'd say Waterford will give it a good go next year, outside of Cork and Kilkenny their the best bet IMO. Tipp are over rated I think, at least in All-Ireland terms and Galway well no one knows what they'll do.

Sure it be great if it was more open I'd love to see Limerick do well as Waterford...Not sure i'd like Tipp winning though >:(

I remember a player who played for cork seniors in the All Ireland final against Meath in 89/90 Micheal Slocum. what became of him, I thought he was superb player who had a very short career

I remember him too Max.  What about the Cork '88 team.  Isnt there a couple of lads who have sadly passed away since.  Not so very long ago.
