I would not be surprised if Antrim spring a surprise on a mediocre Derry team in the championship this year.

that wont be a surprise, i fancy the Saffrons strongly- especially if they keep improving. Derry are in a total mess!!

Cavan will surprise a few teams this year, they may not win Ulster, however I fancy them to do a 'Fermanagh' this year ;)

Armagh! Most of the media pundits and many on this board have dismissed them; don't be so sure!

From a bookie's point of view, I'll be keeping a very close eye on Donegal. You'd never trust them to dispose of a team that they are four or five points better than, but if you were to take last year's panel, and add in a well motivated and directed Devenney, Sweeney and Cassidy (far from a foregone conclusion I know) and they have real potential.

In terms of surprise quarter finalists, Cavan or Limerick would be ones I'd keep an eye on.

Armagh if they discover a plan B, and a CHF, and an injury free Ronan Clarke, and more wool for referees eyes and a leash for Thug McKeever

Thought Donegal had a great chance up until Sunday. I know its only January and the Mc Kenna Cup, but with quite a few of their big names in action they struggled to put away what in essence was a 2nd or 3rd string Armagh outfit.
Although I hate to say it,if Tyrone keep their main men fit I believe they will be hard to stop

Cavan - For the simple reason that Paul Grimley is there. He has worked wonders wherever has went and if anyone had the pleasure of being coached by him they'll know what i'm talking about.

hes already made an impact...Very highly thought off already by the players
Brought the level of professionalism from the Armagh set-up to Cavan....The Senior Players who have fucked around other managers have already bought into his system.

I could well believe it, believe me he is the man pulling the strings with Cavan.

He makes players want to go through a brick wall for him, Joe Kernan got a lot of publicity about his motivations skills, but any Armagh player will tell you Grimley had just as much to do with it.

Gentleman but takes no shit.
