I happened to hear the start of the Ryan Tubridy Show on Thursday morning He started by informing his listeners that he had learned that 44 families per day are having their electricity cut off. He then invited any listeners who have had their electricity cut off to give him a ring. Now I'm no genius but I'd guess that if you'd had the electricity cut off you probably wouldn't be able to listen to the radio and if you were listening the chances are that if you'd had the electricity cut off you'd also have had the phone cut off 3 months earlier.
Sure puts things in perspective, empty pockets and hungry kids.
